You are a strategic and analytical executive leader who is passionate about delivering solutions to clients through impactful partnerships.

As the Head of Partner Ecosystem and Growth you will drive the adoption of JPMC Merchant Services solutions and the expansion of its commerce ecosystem. You will define and execute the partnership ecosystem strategy by building deep partner relationships, shaping commercial and technical engagements, and aligning with the right partners to deliver best-in-class client experiences. You will also grow and support a vibrant developer and partner community to enable seamless integration of commerce solutions across verticals and regions, driving the long-term success and scale of JPMC Commerce Solutions. The candidate should have experience influencing product, sales, and technology transformations in the payments industry, with a strong understanding of how companies leverage payment providers globally (direct Merchant Services experience is a plus). Comfort working cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Finance, and Product is essential to expand the acquiring organization internationally and grow an existing ~$1Bn revenue base, while streamlining communication, prioritizing competing efforts, and driving outcomes for the broader organization.

Job responsibilities

  • Ecosystem Strategy & Vision: Build and nurture a thriving ecosystem of partner integrations for in-store, eCommerce and omnichannel merchant services that creates value for clients and partners, drives growth and innovation, and increases revenue for JPMC Merchant Services.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and forge strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including developers, industry leaders, and ecosystem collaborators
  • Ecosystem Support & Enablement: Create and launch scalable partner programs, including enablement, co-marketing, and co-selling initiatives by bridging internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Commercialization, Product, Tech, Corporate Development & Partnerships) with external partners for aligned goals and execution.
  • Product Integration & Adoption: Work closely with large group of our internal stakeholders (engineering, marketing, solutions, product) to ensure Commerce Solutions are easily accessible and integrated into a wide range of applications.
  • Ecosystem Metrics & Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for ecosystem growth, tracking the progress of the organization’s efforts in growing the partner and developer base.
  • Ecosystem Events & Activation: Lead key events such as developer meetups, and conferences that promote the growth of the JPMC Commerce ecosystem and provide valuable networking opportunities for developers and industry leaders.
  • Evaluate new business models quickly and with financial discipline, driving decisive outcomes that are agreed to by all stakeholders and then turned over for execution or removed from ideation 
  • Identify sales distribution channels for regional priorities and influence the global sales force for optimal P&L gains through direct client sales, partner distributions, or other commercial efforts to grow the global P&L
  • Drive increased revenue through partners, by executing joint go-to market motions with other commercialization, marketing and sales teams to close deals. 

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • 10+ years’ experience of experience in partner ecosystem development and commercialization across payment, commerce and/or technology industries. 
  • Proven track record of building and scaling developer ecosystems, partnerships, and community engagement in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving space.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in strategic partnerships, negotiation, and driving the growth of developer communities and ecosystems as well as expertise in go to market, product marketing, and sales strategies 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including developers, partners.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for developers, partners, and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and product.
  • Data-driven approach with experience in tracking, measuring, and reporting on ecosystem growth metrics and KPIs.
  • Excellent time management, communication, organization and project management skills
  • Energetic, self-motivated and effective under pressure - must enjoy the challenge of working autonomously within a fast-paced and demanding working environment
  • Demonstrates communication and diplomacy skills to work cross-organizationally to influence others, propel results/change and implement projects/processes on simultaneous projects
