About the roleAs the Head of Talent at Westmag, you will lead the company's talent acquisition strategy, building the pipelines and hiring processes that bring in the engineers and operators who will scale our drone motor and actuator manufacturing. Alongside this, you'll oversee core internal people operations to keep the employee experience running smoothly as we grow.
Key responsibilities- Own end-to-end talent acquisition: sourcing, interviewing, and closing top candidates across engineering, manufacturing, and business functions.
- Build and scale recruiting infrastructure, including pipelines, employer branding, referral programs, and interview processes, to support rapid headcount growth.
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leadership to translate business goals into hiring plans and role requirements.
- Oversee core people operations functions such as onboarding, benefits administration, HR compliance, and basic employee relations to ensure a smooth day-to-day employee experience.
- Track and report on hiring metrics, including time-to-fill, pipeline health, and offer acceptance, to continuously improve recruiting effectiveness.
RequirementsRequired qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in talent acquisition/recruiting, with at least 2+ years in a leadership capacity; technology or manufacturing sector experience preferred.
- Proven track record building and scaling recruiting functions in a high-growth environment.
- Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance basics.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience in robotics, drone, or advanced manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with ATS/recruiting tech stacks and data-driven sourcing.
- Some hands-on experience with people operations, such as onboarding, benefits, or HRIS.
