About the role

As the Head of People at Westmag, you will be responsible for shaping and leading the company’s human resources strategies and initiatives. You will work closely with leadership teams to foster a culture that attracts, retains, and develops top talent while supporting Westmag’s mission to innovate in drone motor manufacturing.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the People Operations function, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and learning and development programs.
  • Develop scalable processes for recruiting, interviewing and onboarding.
  • Design and implement HR policies and practices that promote inclusion, equity, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align people strategies with business objectives to ensure the team grows at the right pace and in the right direction.
  • Implement health and safety programs and ensure compliance with employment regulations.

RequirementsRequired qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in human resources leadership roles, preferably in technology or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing hiring strategies that support business growth.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and organizational development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing HR teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in the robotics, drone, or advanced manufacturing industries.
  • Demonstrated success in building inclusive cultures and leading diversity initiatives.
  • Familiarity with HR technologies and data-driven decision making.
