Who We Are

Healthcare needs a better rhythm: one that keeps care continuous and deeply human. Heidi is building an AI Care Partner that works alongside clinicians to make that possible.

We're a team of doctors, engineers, designers, researchers, and creatives building tools that help clinicians stay focused on what matters most: their patients.

In just 18 months, Heidi has given back more than 18 million hours to healthcare professionals, supporting 73 million patient visits in 116 countries. Today, more than two million patient visits each week are powered by Heidi worldwide.

Backed by significant venture funding, we're growing in the US, UK, Canada, and Europe, partnering with leading health systems including the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Monash Health.

What You'll Do
  • Own product strategy and roadmap for North America, with particular depth on regionalizing our platform across the US and Canadian markets, two complex systems that require deep understanding in order to simplify.

  • Lead our forward-deployed product motion: shaping the custom AI workflow solutions we build for larger midmarket and enterprise customers, and turning bespoke, one-off requests into a repeatable, scalable product line.

  • Partner in lockstep with the Head of Engineering, North America and the President of North America to translate market and customer signal into shipped product.

  • Advocate for NA priorities with globally distributed product and engineering teams in Australia, and hold the line on regional nuance.

  • Build and scale the NA product organization, starting with two squads and growing headcount and structure in step with revenue.

  • Serve as the product voice for North America in global leadership discussions, balancing local urgency against global platform coherence.

  • Report directly to Jessie Young (President, North America) and work in close collaboration with the global Head of Product and Head of Engineering based in Australia.

What We're Looking For
  • A product leader who gets genuinely obsessed with market complexity rather than resenting it. Someone who wants to understand why a Canadian clinical director's workflow differs from a US one.

  • Health tech or clinical technology experience strongly preferred; regulated-industry product experience is a baseline requirement.

  • Proven experience standing up or scaling a forward-deployed or custom-solutions product motion for mid-market/enterprise customers. You know how to find the repeatable pattern inside a pile of “special” customer requests.

  • Strong organizational leadership: you've built and run a product team, not just contributed to one, and you know how to hire and develop product managers in a fast-scaling environment.

  • Comfortable maintaining (and constantly revising) a roadmap in a startup where priorities shift under you. You plan in a way that survives contact with reality.

  • The ability to communicate fluently with both technical and commercial leadership, and to earn trust with a leadership team based on the other side of the globe.

  • A bias for velocity paired with the discipline enterprise healthcare demands.

Other Things to Know
  • This role is in-office in San Francisco. We believe in the energy and focus of being in the room together.

  • You'll be working with our product and engineering teams in Australia.

  • You'll work in a true partnership model with the Head of Engineering, NA. This office runs on that pairing.

  • This team starts at two squads; expect the scope and headcount to grow as NA revenue does.

The Way We Work
  • Live Forever: We build for healthcare's next decade, not next quarter. We set outrageous targets, lead healthcare forward, and follow the evidence, even when it's uncomfortable.

  • Practice Ownership: Everyone here carries the company. We raise the bar on hiring and excellence, own the outcome end-to-end, and focus on what matters over process.

  • Move Fast, Fix Faster: The more we do, the more we learn. We ship atoms daily, learn from every release, and stay precise at pace.

  • Get Better: The best clinicians teach. So do we. We live in clinicians' reality, bring warmth to the work, and choose clarity, not cleverness.

Why You Will Flourish With Us
  • Become an owner, with significant shares (equity) in the company. If Heidi wins, we all win.

  • Healthcare, Dental, and Vision benefit options.

  • 401k with 3% match.

  • $100/month Healthy Heidis budget. Spend it on whatever keeps you at your best: gym, therapy, physio, yoga, running shoes, or anything else that genuinely supports your health.

  • $700/year learning & development budget: courses, conferences, books, certifications.

  • $500 one-time home office setup budget.

  • Recharge Days after major pushes.

  • The rare chance to create a global impact as you immerse yourself in one of the leading healthtech startups.

Heidi is dedicated to creating an equitable, inclusive, and supportive work environment that brings people together from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Our strength is in our differences. We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcome all applicants as we're committed to promoting a culture of opportunity for all.

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
