Head of Product, Vanguard Americas

At Vanguard, we’re on a mission to give investors the best chance for investment success. As Head of Product for the Americas, you will play a critical leadership role shaping the future of our product strategy—particularly across ETFs—while connecting regional market needs with Vanguard’s global platform.

This is a highly visible leadership role with meaningful impact across Canada and Latin America.

What you will do:

  • Lead product strategy and innovation across Vanguard’s pooled investment vehicles, with a strong emphasis on ETFs
  • Drive the evolution and competitiveness of our product lineup, including launching new products and enhancing existing offerings
  • Partner across regions to ensure alignment between local market needs and Vanguard’s global product platform
  • Lead a team of local investment product experts who frequently participate in strategic client meetings, large-scale events, and support overall advisory sales efforts
  • Oversee ongoing product health, positioning, and regulatory adherence, and provide recommendations to improve outcomes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across investment, distribution, legal, finance, and regional teams to deliver results
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, setting clear expectations and driving accountability and pace
  • Represent Vanguard in client and industry settings, clearly articulating product strategy and value proposition
  • Present insights, recommendations, and strategy to senior leadership and product governance bodies

What we’re looking for:

  • Deep expertise in ETFs and product strategy within asset management
  • Deep knowledge of the Canadian ETF industry, ecosystem, and regulation
  • Demonstrated success building and launching products and driving innovation
  • Experience working across global or multi-regional organizations
  • Strong understanding of distribution dynamics and how investment products are positioned in market
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across a matrixed organization
  • Leadership experience in fast-paced, evolving environments, with the ability to drive urgency and execution

Preferred experience:

  • Exposure to Latin American markets
  • Familiarity with global product platforms (e.g. UCITS), alternatives or private markets a plus.
  • Broad asset class knowledge (e.g., equity, fixed income, multi-asset)
  • Experience at a leading global asset manager

What will set you apart:

  • A strong ETF-first mindset, with depth over breadth
  • Ability to bridge global strategy with regional execution
  • A builder mentality—comfortable operating in lean environments and accelerating outcomes
  • A track record of developing teams and elevating performance
  • Energizing leadership style that reinforces accountability, pace, and transformation

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree (MBA/CFA) preferred
  • Progressive experience in product strategy, asset management, or related fields
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical capabilities
