JOB OVERVIEW

As Head of Sales, you will have end-to-end responsibility for the customer experience and growth of sales. You will work with the Co-Founders to develop annual and quarterly strategic plans to meet defined targets and manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal. The Head of Sales will also assist with managing complaints and resolving issues aimed at customer contentment and the preservation of the company’s reputation. Exceptional performance leads to promotion tracks for VP of Sales. This role is for an experienced professional or former founder excited to get his/her hands dirty and build a global e-commerce platform. A strong performer will feel and be treated as a founding member of the organization and compensated accordingly. 

Responsibilities

  • Set quarterly and annual sales targets for the team 
  • Set individual sales targets and monitor closely providing support as needed
  • Create strategic outbound, inbound, and creative methods to grow revenue
  • Create conversion funnels and inbound funnels to track & monitor overall growth
  • Create sales data, reports, graphs, charts & all necessary presentations to show to the sales team and c-suite team for us to visualize traction and growth
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets
  • Lead and manage the sales team, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating the team's performance
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners, identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and new business development.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive activities
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and other relevant teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain sales forecasts, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Implement sales processes, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness for the sales team
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, market trends, and technological advancements relevant to the sales function.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field from a recognized and accredited University. A post-grad degree is highly beneficial.
  • Minimum of 5 - 7   years of relevant professional experience within an e-commerce, retail merchandising or category management role
  • Experience with enterprise sales software or hardware
  • Adequate knowledge of the Online Marketplace and the Ecommerce Industry
  • Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management.
  • Outstanding experience with MS Office and CRM software i.e. Hubspot
  • Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, and exceptional organizational skills 
  • Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast-paced start-up environments
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
