About Modern Relay

Modern Relay is building the knowledge platform for the agent era. Our product caters a new kind of company: one in which humans work alongside internal and external AI agents, and where coordination, context and trust become critical infrastructure. Our platform provides a shared layer of truth where both humans and agents can propose updates, contribute knowledge and trigger workflows. The result is a living, compounding knowledge hub that can be read from, written to and improved by both people and software.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Head of Strategic Partnerships to build a high-impact ecosystem of solution partners. You will recruit, enable, and grow a network of partners who build, integrate, and deliver innovative experiences on top of the Modern Relay platform. You’ll create and execute joint go-to-market (GTM) plans with key partners to drive partner-sourced pipeline and revenue. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong partner management experience with a technical, solutions-oriented mindset and thrives in a fast-growing environment.

Locations
  • San Francisco, CA

  • New York City, NY

  • Barcelona, Spain

What You’ll Do
  • Build and own the partnership solutions strategy, including segmentation, target partner profiles, and coverage model

  • Recruit and onboard solution partners (consultancies, product agencies and more) that can implement and extend Modern Relay for customers

  • Develop joint GTM plans with priority partners, including co-selling motions, lead sharing, events, and account mapping

  • Drive partner-sourced pipeline and revenue by creating repeatable motions and holding partners accountable to shared goals

  • Establish partner program operating rhythms: QBRs, forecasting, pipeline reviews, and performance reporting

  • Collaborate with Sales to support co-selling, deal strategy, and partner-led implementations

  • Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure partners can successfully build and deploy on the platform; surface partner feedback to influence roadmap

  • Ensure high-quality customer outcomes by aligning partner delivery standards, deployment best practices, and escalation paths

What Success Looks Like
  • A clear, scalable partner ecosystem with strong coverage in use cases that resonate with our target audience

  • Partners are enabled to independently scope, build, integrate, and deploy Modern Relay solutions

  • Consistent partner-sourced pipeline creation and measurable revenue contribution

  • Repeatable joint GTM plays that produce predictable outcomes quarter over quarter

  • Strong internal alignment across Sales, Product, and Engineering with clear ownership and accountability

What We’re Looking For
  • 5–12 years of experience in partnerships, strategic alliances, channel, or solutions partner management (ideally in SaaS, AI or developer platforms)

  • Proven track record recruiting and scaling solution partners and driving partner-sourced pipeline and revenue

  • Strong solutions/consulting orientation: able to translate customer needs into partner-delivered implementations

  • Technical fluency: comfortable discussing integrations, deployments, APIs, and implementation constraints with partner technical teams

  • Excellent communication skills across executive, sales, and technical audiences; strong written and verbal storytelling

  • High ownership and accountability: you set goals, build the plan, and execute with minimal oversight

  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and move quickly in a fast-growing environment

Key Skills
  • Partnerships and ecosystem building

  • Solutions and consulting mindset

  • Technical fluency (integrations, deployments, APIs)

  • Executive and cross-functional communications

  • GTM planning and co-selling

  • Deployment enablement and partner delivery standards

  • Accountability and ownership

Why This Role
  • Own a critical growth lever: building the partner ecosystem that scales Modern Relay across the world

  • Work at the intersection of product, engineering, and revenue; shaping how the companies of tomorrow deliver real value

  • High-impact role with significant autonomy and visibility
