Who We Are

Hyperbolic Labs is on a mission to democratize AI by breaking down the barriers to computing power with our Open-Access AI Cloud. By making better use of idle computing resources across the globe, we offer an innovative GPU marketplace and AI inference service that promise affordability and accessibility for all. As pioneers at the intersection of AI and open-source technology, we believe in an open future where AI innovation is limited only by imagination, not by access to resources. We're looking for forward-thinking individuals who share our passion for making AI universally accessible, secure, and affordable. Join us in building a platform that empowers innovators everywhere to turn their visionary AI projects into reality.

About the Role

Hyperbolic is seeking a hands-on Head of Talent to refine the systems and processes behind our next stage of growth from ~30 to ~70-100 employees in the next 6-12 months. This role will shape what Hyperbolic looks like and where our future holds.

Working directly with our founders and leadership team, you will define hiring priorities, personally lead critical searches, and build a rigorous, scalable recruiting engine. This is a player-coach role for someone who can attract exceptional technical and business talent while creating the systems that help us hire with speed and quality.

What You Will Do
  • Own full-cycle recruiting across all departments.

  • Translate company goals, mission and culture into clear hiring priorities, candidate profiles, and search strategies.

  • Personally source, assess, and close top talent.

  • Build the talent roadmap to help Hyperbolic scale and help balance hiring priorities across different functions.

  • Design end-to-end talent engine with structured interviews, scorecards, and decision frameworks.

  • Serve as a trusted partner to the founders and hiring managers on candidate strategy, leveling, and offer construction

  • Stand up the tooling, data, and pipeline visibility we need to run 60+ hires per year without dropping quality

  • Manage the recruiting team, recruiting resources and hiring partners efficiently.

  • Build Hyperbolic’s employer brand and make Hyperbolic an exciting place to work at.

Who You Are
  • You have 10+ years of recruiting experience, including ownership of a recruiting function in a high-growth company.

  • You have successfully hired technical talent across infrastructure, distributed systems, AI/ML, cloud, or developer tools.

  • You are a hands-on recruiter who enjoys sourcing and closing, not only managing.

  • You have built or meaningfully improved recruiting processes, systems, and metrics.

  • You can understand complex technology and engage credibly with senior technical candidates.

  • You use data and market intelligence to improve hiring decisions.

  • You exercise strong judgment and can challenge leaders constructively.

  • You thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and take ownership from strategy through execution.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience at a neocloud, hyperscaler, AI lab, GPU cloud, or infrastructure company.

  • Experience as the first or early Talent hire at a venture-backed startup.

  • A strong network across AI and infrastructure talent.
