About Us

Triumph makes mobile gaming more thrilling by letting players wager -- and win -- real money, play in mass multiplayer games, and compete in social tournaments. We've built the top app in our App Store category and sustained exponential month-over-month growth on our revenue and active players. We're hyper-scaling our team and continuing to innovate, launching new products like Rips, our collectibles app, which has found huge success and is continuing to expand. And we're just getting started.

Triumph is backed by some of the top consumer VCs including Goodwater Capital, General Catalyst, and DraftKings Drive Fund.

The Role

As the Head of Talent at Triumph, you’ll own end-to-end hiring across the whole company with a focus on technical roles. Working closely with the VP of Engineering, you’ll hire quickly while maintaining a high bar, improving processes and iterating as the company grows. You'll get to interface closely with the cofounders and other leaders, and build the team that will 10x our business as we expand to new platforms and countries this year.

What You’ll Do
  • Scale the team from 30 employees to hundreds by owning the hiring process from sourcing to close, advising and finding leverage with your time across technical and non-technical roles.

  • Partner directly with the Co-Founders and function leads to deeply understand team needs, role scope, and find the best experts for each role.

  • Provide an exceptional candidate experience at every step, from first touch through offer and onboarding, acting as a guide and advocate.

  • Build and maintain, healthy, pipelines for high-priority and evergreen roles; use data to track what’s going well, where to make improvements, and build repeatable systems to 10x our hiring engine over time.

  • Collaborate closely with the team to set up and optimize our recruiting stack (ATS, sourcing tools, reporting) and create lightweight, scalable processes.

  • Understanding of how and when to leverage contract support to enable the team to hire effectively as we scale.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally with at least some experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup.

  • A track record of independently sourcing, engaging, and closing candidates in highly competitive markets.

  • Strong understanding of hiring for technical and engineering roles (especially backend, mobile, full stack web, game dev) and a desire to jump in on non-technical roles as needed.

  • Strong fluency in the engineering landscape: you understand modern stacks, common role archetypes, and how to evaluate for both technical depth and product sense.

  • A data-informed, builder mindset: you care about more than just volume, you create replicable processes and systems, and iterate quickly based on feedback.

  • Strong understanding of recruiting ops and mastery of your tools; you keep up with the latest technology and know how to implement ways to make yourself more efficient.

Why Triumph?
  • High growth. Build a high-scale consumer platform that touches gaming, finance, and social with the autonomy to set our web direction.

  • High agency. Small, high-impact engineering team that is growing rapidly with significant opportunity for leadership and growth.

  • High energy. Passionate team who are proud of our work and velocity (16x year over year growth).

  • Competitive salary and benefits. $400/mo lunch credit, healthcare, vision, dental, 401k, etc.

Our team gathers 5 days a week at Triumph’s headquarters at Levi’s Plaza in San Francisco.

This role is not open to candidates who require work sponsorship or relocation.
