Job Description:

About the Role:

The HR Business Partner (IA) serves as a skilled and proficient HR generalist supporting clients within the Unified Marketing teams and operating across the enterprise. In this role, you will operate as an independent worker and effective problem-solver, partnering with leaders and employees to align people strategies with business goals, foster an engaging work environment, and support world-class storytellers and innovators across a global, leading-edge entertainment company.

Responsibilities:

As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders across the Unified Marketing functions using your full expertise in HR to anticipate needs, identify emerging trends, and provide strategic, data-informed guidance. You will work independently with minimal guidance, mentor colleagues with less experience, and lead small projects with manageable risk, helping to drive organizational effectiveness, talent development, and change initiatives that support Disney's innovative, collaborative, and globally connected culture. This role matters because it ensures HR solutions are aligned across the enterprise, enabling consistent, effective support for marketing and corporate teams and requiring strong consulting, communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills.

Partner with leaders across the Unified Marketing functions to harmonize business goals with employee needs and deliver integrated HR solutions that support enterprise-wide initiatives.

Use business knowledge to anticipate workforce needs, identify emerging people trends, and provide insights and recommendations that encourage new perspectives and innovative approaches.

Support and guide change initiatives, helping leaders and teams navigate ambiguity by finding creative, practical solutions to complex HR and organizational challenges.

Analyze HR and workforce data, evaluate risks, and develop recommendations that inform decisions on talent, organization design, and employee experience.

Build strong partnerships through collaboration, trust, and effective communication, serving as a resource and mentor for colleagues with less experience and promoting a positive, inclusive workplace.

Integrate HR programs and processes (e.g., talent management, employee relations, organizational development) to support leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and retention across Corporate and enterprise Marketing teams.

Leverage and enhance digital tools and HR systems to support business needs, improve efficiency, and drive people effectiveness. Lead or contribute to small-scale projects and initiatives with manageable risk and resource requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and HR best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years of relevant Human Resources or HR Business Partner experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Skilled HR Business Partner or HR Generalist with the ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and offer new perspectives on existing solutions.

  • Strong consulting, relationship-building, and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Proficiency in analyzing HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends, evaluate risks, and develop actionable insights.

  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain difficult or sensitive concepts and information to diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and adapt to evolving business needs in a dynamic environment.

  • Experience supporting or partnering with corporate or marketing-related functions, with an understanding of how HR enables business and campaign outcomes.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to support analysis, reporting, and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing and supporting talent management and full employee lifecycle HR activities across areas such as Organizational Development, Learning & Talent Solutions, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Employee Relations, or Labor Relations.

  • Background working with or supporting marketing, creative, or enterprise functions in a large, matrixed organization.

  • Experience using HR systems and digital tools to enhance processes, reporting, and employee experience.

  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $115,300.00 to $140,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
