We’re looking for a Talent & Culture Business Partner to join our team! This is a remote role with occasional travel for leadership meetings, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable engaging in person when needed.

About the Job

The Talent & Culture Business Partner plays a critical role in strengthening organizational health, leadership effectiveness, and employee performance across the company. This role partners closely with leaders to uphold our values, navigate people-related challenges, and ensure a consistent, fair, and high-performing employee experience.

As a key member of the Talent & Culture team, the Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor and coach—supporting Directors through employee relations, performance management, and organizational growth. This role ensures that people strategies are well-designed, hold true to our values, and are effectively executed consistently as the company scales.

What You'll Be Doing

Employee Relations & Director Support

  • Serve as the primary partner to Directors for employee relations matters, including performance concerns, conflict resolution, investigations, and terminations

  • Provide clear, practical guidance to Directors on handling sensitive employee situations with consistency, fairness, and compliance

  • Lead and document investigations as needed, ensuring timely, thoughtful, and legally sound outcomes

  • Identify patterns or trends in employee relations and proactively recommend solutions

Performance Management & Accountability

  • Partner with leaders to strengthen performance management practices, including goal setting and clear expectations

  • Coach Directors on addressing underperformance, delivering clear feedback, and making effective people decisions

  • Support performance calibration processes to ensure consistency and fairness across teams

  • Help evolve performance frameworks, tools, and processes to support a high-performance culture

Leadership Coaching & Support

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, helping them navigate team dynamics and difficult leadership decisions

  • Coach Directors on effective communication, empathetic straight talk, and employee development

Organizational Health & Effectiveness

  • Monitor team health, engagement, retention trends, and employee feedback (including surveys and pulse checks); proactively identify risks, patterns, and opportunities

  • Analyze survey results and feedback to drive targeted improvements, enhance employee experience and support our ongoing Great Place to Work certification

  • Be an advocate for team members, ensuring that their voices are heard and concerns are addressed quickly and effectively

  • Support change management efforts, ensuring teams are aligned, informed, and effectively supported through change

  • Facilitate team interventions, feedback sessions, or alignment workshops as needed

Talent & Culture Program Execution

  • Partner with the Talent & Culture Team to ensure alignment across hiring, onboarding, performance, and development

  • Support the rollout and adoption of Talent & Culture programs (e.g., performance cycles, engagement initiatives, leadership tools)

  • Ensure consistent application of policies, practices, and expectations across teams

Compliance & Risk Mitigation

  • Ensure employee relations practices align with company policies and employment laws

  • Partner with the Talent Operations Generalist on complex or high-risk situations

  • Maintain thorough documentation and ensure consistency in decision-making

Nice-to-haves:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, or HR Business Partner roles

  • Strong experience in employee relations, performance management, and Director coaching

  • Working knowledge of employment laws and best practices (multi-state experience preferred)

  • Proven ability to influence and coach leaders at multiple levels of the organization

  • Strong judgment and ability to navigate complex, sensitive situations with discretion

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of autonomy

  • Directors are confident, capable, and consistent in handling people-related situations

  • Employee relations issues are addressed proactively, fairly, and with minimal escalation

  • Performance management is clear, consistent, and reinforces accountability across teams

  • Leaders view the Business Partner as a trusted, practical, and solutions-oriented advisor

  • Organizational health risks (turnover, engagement, team dysfunction) are identified early and addressed effectively

  • Talent & Culture programs are not just implemented—but adopted and effective at the team level
