About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced People Operations / HR Generalist to help build and run a thoughtful, efficient employee experience at OpenArt.

You’ll own core People operations across the employee lifecycle and help improve the systems, processes, and programs that support our global team. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong execution with sound judgment and enjoys building simple, scalable processes in a fast-moving environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Own core People operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, employee changes, and HR systems.

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day People matters.

  • Maintain and improve People policies and processes, ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.

  • Support company-wide People programs, including performance reviews, compensation cycles, and employee experience initiatives.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, and other teams on cross-functional People needs.

  • Continuously improve and automate People processes to support a growing global organization.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Generalist, or a related HR role, ideally in a fast-paced company.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law, with hands-on experience navigating California employment requirements and practices.

  • Experience supporting global teams across multiple locations, including both onsite and remote employees.

  • Strong understanding of core HR operations and the employee lifecycle, including HRIS, benefits, leaves, onboarding/offboarding, and People policies.

  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and attention to detail, particularly when handling sensitive employee matters.

  • Strong communicator who can build trust with both employees and managers.

  • Independent, practical, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to build structure and scalable processes in a fast-moving environment.

Compensation
  • Base: $105,000 - $140,000

  • Target bonus starts at 15%

  • Equity offered (RSUs)

  • Health Insurance, 401k benefits, and other employee benefits kick in on day one
