About the Role
WorkWhile is looking for a versatile, detail-oriented HR Generalist to own the day-to-day HR operations for our headquarters team. This is a critical "foundational" role where you will manage the entire employee lifecycle, starting with the moment a new hire signs their offer.

You will be the backbone of our people data, the owner of our onboarding experience, and a key contributor to strategic projects like performance reviews, impact initiatives, and HRIS migration.

What You Will Get to Do Everyday
HQ HR Operations & Data Management

  • Own HQ Operations: Act as the primary point of contact for all HR-related inquiries for corporate staff.

  • Data Integrity: Maintain 100% accuracy in our employee records and internal databases. You will be the "source of truth" for all people data.

  • Systems Support: Assist in the evaluation and selection of new vendors through the RFP process for Payroll and HRIS platforms to ensure our tech stack scales with our growth.

The Employee Lifecycle

  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Design and execute a seamless onboarding experience that gets new hires excited and productive. Manage the offboarding process with empathy, compliance, and professionalism.

  • LMS & Training: Manage our Learning Management System (LMS). Coordinate mandatory compliance training and assist in developing professional development programs.

Performance and Impact

  • Performance Reviews: Provide administrative support for the performance management cycle, ensuring timelines are met and data is captured correctly.

  • WorkWhile Impact Initiative: Actively contribute to and assist in the execution of the WorkWhile Impact Initiative, helping drive our mission-led culture forward.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in HR Operations or a Generalist role, preferably in a fast-paced tech or startup environment.

  • Technical Chops: Prior experience managing an HRIS and/or LMS. Experience assisting with RFPs or system migrations is a major plus.

  • Organization: You are a "process person" who finds joy in a perfectly organized spreadsheet and a streamlined workflow.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to handle sensitive information with extreme discretion.

Work Environment

This is a Hybrid role. We believe in the power of in-person collaboration to build culture and community. You will be expected to work from one of our hub offices (San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, or New York) 3 days per week.

Benefits & Perks

  • Hybrid work culture

  • In-person company offsites

  • Medical, dental, & vision coverage

  • Unlimited time off

  • 401(k) with employer match

  • WFH stipend to support your home office needs
