Who We Are

Hyperbolic Labs is on a mission to democratize AI by breaking down the barriers to computing power with our Open-Access AI Cloud. By aggregating computing resources across the globe, we offer an innovative GPU marketplace and AI inference service that promise affordability and accessibility for all. As pioneers at the intersection of AI and open-source technology, we believe in an open future where AI innovation is limited only by imagination, not by access to resources. We're looking for forward-thinking individuals who share our passion for making AI universally accessible, secure, and affordable. Join us in building a platform that empowers innovators everywhere to turn their visionary AI projects into reality.

As we prepare for growth after our Series A, our team — led by co-founders with PhDs in AI, Math, and Computer Science — is poised to redefine computing.

About the Role

We’re seeking an HR Generalist to support and scale the people operations foundation of Hyperbolic as we grow our GPU marketplace and AI infrastructure platform. As a fast-moving company operating across distributed teams and highly technical functions, creating a seamless employee experience and strong operational infrastructure is critical to our success.

In this role, you’ll own and optimize core people operations workflows across onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, employee lifecycle management, and internal operations. You’ll work closely with hiring managers and leadership to ensure every new hire has a structured and successful onboarding experience, including customized 30/60/90-day onboarding plans, documentation, systems setup, and operational readiness from day one.

You’ll also manage key employee operations processes including Google Workspace administration, Slack, Notion, employee access systems, benefits administration through Justworks, COBRA documentation, Carta vesting coordination, and annual performance review cycles. In addition, you’ll help support broader operational initiatives by organizing business documentation, maintaining contracts, and assisting with administrative workflows such as credit line applications and operational recordkeeping.

This is a highly cross-functional and hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in startup environments, enjoys building structure from ambiguity, and wants to play a foundational role in shaping employee experience and operational excellence as Hyperbolic scales.

Who You Are
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, HR Generalist, or related operational roles

  • Experience managing onboarding and offboarding processes in fast-paced startup environments

  • Strong understanding of employee lifecycle management and HR operational best practices

  • Experience administering employee benefits, open enrollment, and HR documentation processes

  • Familiarity with HR and workplace systems including Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Justworks, and Carta

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

  • Comfortable coordinating across multiple stakeholders and holding teams accountable to operational timelines and deliverables

  • Experience supporting performance management processes and annual review cycles

  • Ability to manage sensitive employee and company information with discretion and professionalism

  • Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working at an early-stage or high-growth startup

  • Familiarity with distributed teams and technical organizations

  • Experience building or improving onboarding documentation and operational processes from scratch

  • Exposure to office operations, workplace systems, and employee access management

  • Experience supporting equity administration processes including RSUs and vesting workflows

  • Background supporting operations in infrastructure, AI, or high-growth technology companies

  • “Jack-of-all-trades” mindset with willingness to support both people operations and broader business operations as needed

Hyperbolic is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
