Job Duties and Responsibilities
The HR Operations Associate serves as an employee experience champion, ensuring every interaction across the employee lifecycle is frictionless, personalized, and adds value. The HR Associate is often the first contact employees have with HR and responds to employee inquiries on topics including but not limited to Echostar guidelines, benefits plan and enrollment, paid time off, employee communications, COBRA, and retirement plans. The HR Operations Associate is dedicated to providing empathic and personalized interactions, ensuring that each employee feels understood and supported during their moments of need.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver prompt, personalized, and "one-touch" resolutions to HR inquiries across all communication channels, including phone, email, chat, and cases
  • Act as an empathetic employee advocate by actively listening to concerns, anticipating needs, and raising complex issues to appropriate teams like HRBPs, Generalists, and payroll
  • Guide employees through self-service options using the HRCM tool, while consistently auditing and optimizing these pathways to improve the overall employee journey
  • Proactively identify process inefficiencies, escalate failing workflows promptly, and collaborate cross-functionally to develop practical solutions
  • Serve as a dedicated ambassador for the Echostar Way while flexibly supporting daily team tasks on a rotational or as-needed basis

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • 1+ years in HR operations, service delivery model, customer service, or employee service center
  • Associate's Degree or higher preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience with or aptitude to learn HR Information Systems (HRIS) and case management/ticketing software
  • Ability to effectively navigate and manage high-volume inquiries across multiple communication platforms simultaneously
  • Create clear and concise business correspondence, employee communications, and routine reports to support HR operations
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and clearly explain complex HR policies, including federal, state, and local guidelines
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and the ability to leverage AI to improve daily work efficiency
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive mindset for identifying workflow inefficiencies and suggesting process improvements
  • Effectively interact with all levels of organizational staff and company personnel
  • Excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written/oral communication, and customer service skills
  • Meet all of EchoStar's performance expectations, including but not limited to satisfying all applicable metrics, productivity standards, goals, and proficiencies related to overall performance
  • Bilingual capabilities are considered a strong plus

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $20.72/Hour - $29.62/Hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
