The Role
Lark Technologies is looking for a Human Resources Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of Lark’s Human Resources team, Lark’s leaders, and Lark’s team members. This individual must enjoy building a world-class HR support function in a scaling, high-growth environment.  This role will work with cross-functional teams to create and support people processes that help advocate Lark’s vision, mission and strategy.

The HR Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of human resources administrative tasks. The role supports HR department deliverables, updating and maintaining the HRIS, processing employee requests, managing HR’s involvement in onboarding/off-boarding processes, keeping employee, contingent worker, I9 and exited employee files current and legally compliant, as well as managing HR analytics and metrics. Supporting our terrific team is a HR top priority at Lark Technologies. The individual in this role will have the ability to make a huge impact on the future of Lark’s culture and help tie our people strategy to our overall business goals. 

The HR Specialist must be innovative, resourceful, and enjoy working within an entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The HR Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. This role will report to the Manager, Human Resources Operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain employee files and records in BambooHR with all pertinent HR related information
  • Update and maintain BambooHR with all pertinent HR related information
  • Assist the payroll department with requests by providing relevant employee data in a timely manner
  • Understand and communicate HR policies and procedures
  • Process employee requests and provide relevant information to managers
  • Coordinate HR projects, meetings and communications
  • Manage new employee onboarding program and conduct new employee orientations
  • Manage administration of enrollment of Lark’s employee benefits package
  • Partner with TA, HR, and Finance teams to maintain contingent worker program
  • Manage employee off-boarding by preparing exiting documentation and exit interviews for departing employees
  • Reply to all requests to the Human Resources department for employment verifications
  • Maintain, update, and enhance HR’s analytics dashboard
  • Assist with special projects on a regular basis

What You’ll Need

  • Basic knowledge of payroll and HR procedures and processes
  • Proficient knowledge of business acumen and organizational design
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail 
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with employees at every level of the organization 
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability 
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently 
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response 
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field or completion of an HR certification program
  • 2-5 years’ experience as an HR administrator
  • Hands on experience with HRMS/HRIS
  • Proficient to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and all Google applications

Working at Lark
