About xAI

xAI’s mission is to create AI systems that can accurately understand the universe and aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge. Our team is small, highly motivated, and focused on engineering excellence. This organization is for individuals who appreciate challenging themselves and thrive on curiosity. We operate with a flat organizational structure. All employees are expected to be hands-on and to contribute directly to the company’s mission. Leadership is given to those who show initiative and consistently deliver excellence. Work ethic and strong prioritization skills are important. All engineers are expected to have strong communication skills. They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates.

About the Role

The HR Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst configures, administers, and continuously optimizes our core HR systems. In this role, you will partner closely with HR, IT, Security, and business stakeholders to design, test, and implement high-impact solutions that remove friction, accelerate workflows, and enable our workforce to operate at peak speed and accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Configure, test, and maintain security roles, approval workflows, and business policies within the HRIS.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, including reviewing, testing, and deploying upgrades, patches, and new features.
  • Monitor HRIS integrations with other systems; quickly identify and resolve issues caused by configuration changes, new releases, or vendor updates.
  • Protect data quality and compliance by following Data Governance standards; regularly run audits and queries, analyze results, and recommend or implement fixes to keep information accurate and reliable.
  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics; proactively partner with stakeholders to uncover meaningful metrics and insights that drive better decisions.
  • Continuously look for ways to streamline processes and get more value from the HRIS by identifying and implementing improvements and best-practice configurations.
  • Provide day-to-day production support: troubleshoot and resolve Help Desk tickets, unexpected system behavior, and user-reported issues.
  • Serve as the bridge between business and technical teams: gather requirements, translate business needs and change requests into clear technical specifications, and collaborate with developers, architects, and other IT teams on interface design, enhancements, and solution architecture.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Workday or Rippling experience as an engineer, analyst or administrator responsible for configuration, documentation, testing, and implementation of applications and enhancements.
  • Experience implementing a large-scale system migration (e.g., implementing a new HRIS or ATS system)
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, make decisions, learn quickly, and self-manage
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels and communicate effectively with both a technical audience and business users
  • Experience with JIRA is a plus
