Job SummaryThe HR Systems Analyst III is a systems expert and responsible for advanced configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of HR technology systems to ensure a positive and effective team member experience. This role serves as the subject matter expert for assigned HR systems, with the knowledge and skills to support multiple cross functional areas, translating business needs into scalable system solutions and leading advanced configuration, testing, and implementation efforts. The HR Systems Analyst partners with Product Managers and business leaders to optimize system capabilities, evaluate and identify downstream impacts, guide long-term technology decisions, and improve design and delivery of high-impact solutions to advance system functionality, data integrity, and the user experience across the HR technology ecosystem.

To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully. 

  • Establish configuration standards and independently architect highly complex HR technology solutions across multiple functional domains, evaluating enterprise-wide downstream impacts and ensuring scalability, data integrity, security, and alignment with organizational strategy. Partner with Product Management to influence product roadmaps, evaluate future system capabilities, and recommend scalable technology solutions and investments aligned with business strategy. Analyze and lead evaluation of emerging AI capabilities and HR technology trends within HR technology systems, providing expert recommendations regarding adoption, testing functionality, and implementing solutions that improve processes, data insights, and overall team member experience. 
  • Lead the design and support of highly complex system enhancements, integration, workflow design, integrations, and process automation that affect multiple functions, systems, or business processes. 
  • Serve as the technical lead for enterprise HR technology initiatives, major implementations, and complex transformation efforts, including initiatives outside the primary area of specialization.  
  • Resolve highly complex, ambiguous, cross-functional, or enterprise-wide system issues; lead root cause analysis and establish sustainable solutions that address systemic risks and downstream impacts. Advise Product Managers to evaluate and identify opportunities for system improvements, technology utilization, and enhanced team member experience. 
  • Establish support and execute system updates, testing strategies, releases, and upgrades, including assessment and testing strategy, validation, and deployment activities. 
  • Establish and design system documentation standards, including business processes, configuration details, and user procedures. 
  • Lead data integrity by developing audits, validation processes, and ongoing monitoring of system performance. 
  • Serve as the highest-level functional escalation point for highly complex, recurring, cross-system, and enterprise-wide issues; provide expert consultation, technical direction, and mentoring to HR System Administrators and Analysts. Collaborate and influence cross-functionally with HR, Finance, IT, and other business teams to ensure systems are integrated, aligned, and operating effectively. 
  • Contribute to broader HR technology initiatives, including system implementations, optimization efforts, and continuous improvement strategies. 
  • Ability to build and troubleshoot system integrations. 
  • Serve as a recognized expert across multiple HR technology domains and provide authoritative guidance on system capabilities, architecture decisions, solution design, and cross-functional impacts. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

Experience 

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience supporting HR technology systems or similar platforms. 
  • Experience configuring and supporting multiple functions within enterprise HR systems such as Workday, LMS platforms, ServiceNow, or similar technologies. 
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a lead subject matter expert, establishing technical standards, influencing technology decisions, and leading highly complex system implementations, integrations, or transformation initiatives.  

Education 

Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, analytics or related field.  OR 3 combined years of progressive equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 

Computer/Office Equipment Skills 

Understanding of HR system and technology concepts, including AI capabilities and their application within HR systems, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite. 

Managerial Responsibility 

Has no supervisory/managerial responsibilities

  • Experience supporting projects, system enhancements, or implementations with moderate complexity. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
