Job Location: Union City, CA | In Person 

Employment Type: Full Time

FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act): Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $30 - $33 per hour

Reporting Structure: Sr. Human Resources Manager

Position Summary:

The HR Coordinator supports day-to-day HR operations across all business locations with a strong focus on employee service, compliance, onboarding, and accurate HR recordkeeping. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees, helping resolve questions and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and urgency. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, people-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide timely, professional support to employees by responding to HR-related questions and requests.

· Coordinate onboarding activities, audit new hire documents, complete Form I-9 verification, and maintain compliant employee records.

· Process employment verifications, EDD requests, separation paperwork, and other HR administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.

· Maintain HR files, employee records, and HRIS data with a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.

· Support HR projects, compliance initiatives, and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

· Minimum 2 years of related Human Resources experience.

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

· Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment documentation requirements.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.

· Excellent organization, time management, follow-through, and attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; HRIS experience preferred.

· Ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 15 pounds as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Knowledge of Form I-9 compliance and employment verification processes.

· Paylocity or other HRIS experience.

· High professional integrity, reliability, and a strong attendance record.

Employee Incentives:

· Employees that are with us for 6 months to 3 years = 0.10 cents off a gallon of fuel

· Employees that are with us for 3 years to 5 years = 0.30 cents off a gallon of fuel

· Employees that have been with us for 5+ years = 0.40 cents off a gallon of fuel

· MAXIMUM 20 GALLONS AND 2 FILL UPS PER WEEK
