Mission of The Position:
The Human Resources Generalist is directly responsible for recruitment, completing personnel transactions, benefit and leave administration, employee relations, and assisting in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures. In this role, you will provide coaching and support to managers to ensure consistent and successful application of the Company's Core Values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs and ensure that human resources policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Support administration of payroll related activities and systems. Working knowledge of Dayforce is required.
- Provide support to workforce and management relative to benefits related issues, including but not limited to: to the administration of FMLA, disability and other leave concerns.
- Provide support to functional areas of human resources such as recruitment, payroll and compensation, training, including special projects as required.
- Responsible for updating and maintenance of HR information systems to ensure data integrity. Must have a solid work history with Workday.
- Administer benefit programs including health and welfare benefits, COBRA, insurance for life and disability (short-term and long-term), employee assistance programs, paid vacation and holiday programs, retirement programs, wellness, relocation, foreign assignment assistance, including tax advisors and destination services, and any other programs which the company may offer in the future.
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks to manage records, policies, compensation plans, insurance forms, payroll and reporting.
- Plan, organize, coordinate and conduct new employee orientations and orientation materials.
- Plan, organize, coordinate and conduct exit interviews and share reported trends and pertinent feedback with managers.
- Effective management of employment and benefit files.
- Performs various year-end procedures such as: statutory notifications, reporting, audits, etc.
- Assist in the coordination and communication of employee relation activities such as company events, communication meetings, company surveys, and other special projects, as needed.
- Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers.
Customer and Business Interfaces:
- All levels of employees and leadership at division, group office and corporate locations in North America.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or business, or equivalent experience required.
- Workday experience is required.
- Dayforce experience is required.
- PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft office suite.
- Strong communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal.
- Manufacturing & automotive experience preferred.
- Five (5) plus years as an HR Generalist; with responsibility for recruitment, payroll, compensation, benefits, and employee relations is required.
- Experience in administering benefit programs.
- Experience with immigration and visas.
- A minimum of 4 days in office is required.
