Job Summary & Responsibilities

 

Data Axle is looking for a college level student to assist our Human Resources team as an intern. This position will gain valuable exposure to projects that intersect with HR, Recruiting, and Benefits.

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Conduct a comprehensive audit of all existing job descriptions to identify:
    1. Roles that are no longer in use
    2. Roles currently in use without an updated or approved job description
    3. Outdated or inaccurate content
  2. Update and revise outdated job descriptions to ensure alignment with:
    1. Current role responsibilities and expectations
    2. Organizational structure and reporting relationships
  3. Partner with HR and hiring managers to validate role responsibilities and ensure job descriptions accurately reflect current work.
  4. Ensure consistency and updated as required job descriptions across all platforms where job descriptions are used, including:
    1. Internal HR systems
    2. Applicant tracking system (ATS)
    3. Career site and external job boards
  5. Review active job postings to confirm alignment with approved job descriptions, ensuring:
    1. Responsibilities, qualifications, and requirements match
  6. Identify gaps or discrepancies between job descriptions and job postings and recommend corrective actions.
  7. Assist in creating templates, standards, and guidelines for job descriptions to promote consistency in format, tone, and content.
  8. Provide recommendations for improving clarity, inclusiveness, and readability of job descriptions.
  9. Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

 

  1. Current enrollment in a Human Resources, Business, Management or other business-related degree program is required
  2. 6 to 12 months prior work of internship experience is preferred
  3. Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  5. Ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources (e.g., existing job descriptions, job postings, manager input).
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use good judgment and discretion in all interactions
  7. Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  8. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also seeking guidance when needed.
  9. Interest in process improvement, compliance, or job architecture.
