The role focuses on promoting Life & Annuity products, acquiring advisors, and driving net premium growth through strategic advisor relationships.
This is a critical, hybrid role combining the functions of a Business Development lead and a Carrier Liaison. The Business Development- IMO/Unified Wholesaler is primarily responsible for driving significant net premium growth in Life & Annuity products by strategically acquiring and developing advisor relationships across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
- Advisor Acquisition: Drive new business by actively recruiting and onboarding advisors (RIAs, independent agents, financial advisors) and agencies.
- Premium Growth: Strategically expand the advisor network and drive Life & Annuity (L&A) premium growth through marketing targeted toward HNW advisors.
- Strategic Support: Serve as the primary intermediary between advisors and carriers, providing expert case strategy support, product alignment, and carrier strategy insight.
- Practice Development: Help advisors grow their practices by articulating and delivering the firm's unique value proposition.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Must have previous experience working for a General Agency, IMO/FMO/BGA (e.g., Simplicity, FIG, DMI, Ash, Advisors Excel, AmeriLife, etc.) or as a Carrier Wholesaler (e.g., Global Atlantic, Athene, Protective, Pacific Life, etc.).
- Strong understanding of High Net Worth (HNW) planning, complex case strategy, and Life/Annuity product positioning.
- Past experience as a Life insurance producer or advisor is preferred.
- Licensing: Life insurance license preferred.
Benefits
- Base Salary/Draw: $100,000 – $120,000, complemented by quarterly bonuses and a substantial agency production override.
- Earning Potential: Total annual earnings are structured to exceed $500,000 based on overall agency production brought in.
