We’re looking for a candidate with a proven ability to rapidly craft innovative, practical cross-functional solutions to complex business challenges. As an Incubation Product Manager at Scale, you’ll start by leading a project to deliver high-quality data for a client’s model improvement, then drive high-impact moonshots across product, engineering, and operations to advance our business. You will:
- Identify and validate moonshots that could deliver 10x impact by uncovering transformative operational, technical, and product opportunities
- Prototype and experiment with new solutions by running analyses, conducting experiments, and building early-stage prototypes to test ideas
- Grow to take ownership of scaling a successful initiative and lead the charge on new moonshot projects
- Deliver measurable business outcomes that enhance Scale’s ability to improve generative AI models through high-quality data
Ideally you'd have:
- 2-3 years of industry experience in a technical field (i.e. Software Engineering, Machine Learning, and ML Research)
- Advanced technical problem solving skills (e.g. SQL, Python) and hands-on experience building end-to-end systems or prototypes in production.
- Creative and visionary thinking with the ability to identify bold, transformative opportunities and craft innovative, practical solutions into measurable outcomes
- High adaptability and resilience to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, and thrive in fast-paced, undefined environments
- Intensity and pragmatism to quickly drive business outcomes quickly, especially while operating independently with minimal resources
Nice to haves:
- Research-oriented mindset with a track record of publishing original work in top-tier ML or AI conferences (e.g.,NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR) or journals. Experience conducting novel research or contributing to open-source AI projects is a plus.
- Proven 0-1 execution experience, whether as a founder, early-stage team member or solo contributor driving greenfield projects from concept to impact.
Compensation packages at Scale for eligible roles include base salary, equity, and benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position, determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, interview performance, and relevant education or training. Scale employees in eligible roles are also granted equity based compensation, subject to Board of Director approval. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process, and confirm whether the hired role will be eligible for equity grant. You’ll also receive benefits including, but not limited to: Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits, a learning and development stipend, and generous PTO.
