Position Overview

MachineryMax is looking for entrepreneurial Independent Sales Representatives (ISRs) to develop and grow local territories by helping businesses buy and sell industrial equipment.

As an ISR, you will operate as an independent contractor while leveraging the strength of the MachineryMax brand, technology platform, marketing resources, and operational support team. You will be responsible for developing relationships, identifying equipment disposition opportunities, securing listings, and guiding customers through the auction and sales process.

This role is ideal for individuals with strong relationships in the manufacturing, industrial, construction, transportation, woodworking, metalworking, fabrication, or asset recovery industries who are looking to build a scalable business with significant income potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with manufacturers, fabricators, distributors, contractors, trucking companies, equipment dealers, lenders, asset recovery firms, and business owners.

  • Identify equipment, machinery, fleet, and surplus asset sales opportunities within your assigned territory.

  • Meet with prospective sellers to evaluate equipment and discuss disposition strategies.

  • Educate customers on MachineryMax auction and marketplace solutions.

  • Secure auction consignments and private sale listings.

  • Conduct equipment inspections, collect listing information, and coordinate asset marketing efforts.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process.

  • Attend industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and customer meetings to generate new business.

  • Collaborate with MachineryMax's operations, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure successful sales outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within company systems.

  • Meet or exceed territory growth and revenue goals.

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following industries is strongly preferred:

  • Packaging equipment

  • Industrial automation

  • Equipment dealerships

  • Asset recovery and liquidation

  • Commercial finance or equipment lending

  • Auction and marketplace sales

  • Proven sales, business development, or account management experience.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a territory.

  • Computer proficiency and comfort using CRM systems and online sales tools.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout assigned territory.

  • Existing industry relationships are highly desirable.
