About Us

GridCARE is a leading venture-backed startup solving the most critical constraint in AI’s growth trajectory: immediate access to power. As demand for computing skyrockets, access to energy has become the defining bottleneck in the AI infrastructure race. While leading tech companies invest billions in speculative, long-term solutions that may take decades to arrive, GridCARE’s pioneering physics-based generative AI platform unlocks gigawatts of hidden capacity in today’s electric grid — enabling hyperscalers, data center developers, and utilities to power AI infrastructure years sooner than conventional approaches and without costly upgrades.

Founded at Stanford’s Doerr School of Sustainability and backed by leading climate-tech and deep-tech investors, GridCARE has assembled a world-class team spanning power systems, AI, and infrastructure.

At GridCARE, you will:

⚡ Work at the intersection of AI, energy, and infrastructure — the foundation of the next industrial revolution.

🤝 Partner with hyperscalers, developers, and utilities on high-impact, real-world deployments.

🌎 Help shape a more abundant, efficient, and resilient energy future for the digital era.

🚀 Join a company defining a new category — capacity acceleration for AI.

💰 Receive competitive compensation, equity, and benefits in a fast-growth, mission-driven environment.

Job Description

The Industry Solutions Implementation Director will own the successful execution of GridCARE’s customer and utility-facing programs, serving as the single threaded owner responsible for delivery, coordination, and outcomes. This role involves working cross-functionally across the business and technical teams to ensure GridCARE’s flexible capacity and grid-optimization solutions are successfully deployed with hyperscalers, data center developers, and electric utilities.

You will frame commercial agreements and technical concepts into executable programs driving project scope, timelines, managing dependencies, mitigating risk, and aligning stakeholders across GridCARE, utility partners, and customers. This role requires strong program leadership, comfort operating in ambiguity, and the ability to work hands-on with engineers, executives, and external partners in a fast-moving startup environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end project execution for customer and utility deployments from contract signature through project implementation.

  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for delivering technical results, timelines, milestones, and outcomes across internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Onboard customers into the product platform and manage the product deployment process.

  • Translate technical requirements into structured execution plans, operational processes, and acceptance criteria.

  • Lead cross-functional coordination across engineering, power systems, data science, product, and commercial teams.

  • Partner closely with utilities and data center customers to align on scope, responsibilities, and operational readiness.

  • Establish and maintain program governance (schedules, RAID logs, dependency tracking, escalation paths).

  • Identify and mitigate technical, operational, and contractual risks early in the project lifecycle.

  • Drive change management when scope, timelines, or requirements evolve, ensuring alignment across all parties.

  • Support go-live readiness, testing, and commissioning activities, including validation of telemetry, controls, and performance metrics.

  • Continuously improve delivery playbooks and implementation processes.

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years of experience in technical program management, project delivery, or implementation within the utilities or electric power industry.

  • Direct experience with electric utilities, ISOs or power system consulting firms on transmission, distribution, planning, or operations-related engagements, driving successful post-sale engineering solutions and implementations.

  • Proven ownership of complex, multi-stakeholder project delivery with clear accountability for outcomes.

  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and evolving processes and priorities within a startup or high-growth environment.

  • Strong ability to frame technical and commercial requirements into executable plans and operational processes.

  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and external partners through ambiguity and change.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with engineers, operators, executives, and external stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or Advanced Engineering programs.

  • Understand the power system's ISO and utility constraints and pain points.

  • Experience in managing electric power system projects and studies, including, but not limited to, power system steady state analysis, transient stability, short-circuit studies, and protection coordination.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the power system process and regulatory requirements, such as the generation/load interconnection process, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulations, and North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards.

  • Familiarity with data centers, hyperscaler infrastructure, or large energy-intensive customers.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary, performance bonus, and equity.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.

  • Lunch provided three days a week in office.

  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office for collaboration, 2 days remote for focused work.

  • Access to leading academic, industry, and government partners in the AI-energy ecosystem.

  • A mission-driven team focused on shaping the future of the energy transition.
