The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) is a Department of War (DoW) organization focused exclusively on accelerating the adoption of commercial technology throughout the military and growing the national security innovation base. As the Department’s gateway to leading technology companies across the country, DIU is focused on rapid prototyping, fielding, and scaling of  commercial solutions that can save lives, lead to new operational concepts, increase efficiency, and save taxpayer dollars. 

DIU has a variety of missions which bring academic and private sector solutions to national security problems. To accomplish this mission, we seek a wide variety of backgrounds including military experience, high technology product development and leadership, operations expertise, and general program management experience.
Federal Civilian Position (NH-04 / GS14/15) - Information Technology Lead:
The Defense Innovation Unit seeks an IT Lead at our Mountain View, CA headquarters. The successful candidate will have 8+ years experience spanning commercial Software-as-a-Service, cybersecurity, systems and network administration, and VIP support. This mission-critical role will guide and execute DIU's enterprise mission commercial SaaS portfolio, ensuring the secure integration, governance, and optimization of enterprise applications. We are looking for a leader who deeply understands commercial SaaS architectures (e.g., Google Workspace, ServiceNow, Salesforce) and possesses exceptional customer support and communication skills to drive user adoption and translate technical SaaS capabilities into mission-enabling strategies.
Position located in Mountain View, CA.
Travel may be required: (10%)
