The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Information Technology Software Development Manager to join the team in El Segundo, CA; Long Beach, CA; Seal Beach, CA; or Kent, WA.
The selected candidate will lead a high-performing development team spread across multiple United States locations, driving the delivery of impactful business solutions through expert Agile software development practices. Leveraging strong relationship-building, problem-solving, and communication skills, you will accelerate team performance and guide successful project outcomes.
In this leadership role, you will shape the future of team operations by spearheading capability consolidation and application modernization initiatives. Collaborating closely with Information Technology Business Partners, you will deepen your business acumen and align technology efforts with strategic product goals.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Empower teams so they can operate with a high degree of autonomy and self-organization, and deliver to business priorities
  • Manage your team and their deliverables, including projections for future needs, to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Work with team members to manage work priorities, facilitate skill assignments, and address people actions in order to maintain high performing work teams
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships on a global scale with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Manage technical debt to ensure products get and stay ahead of the technology obsolescence curve
  • Identify, recruit, develop, engage, and retain team talent

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing multi-disciplined technical teams
  • 5+ years of experience in working with agile teams and agile software development
  • 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and/or support IT project plans and schedules

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience with software startup
  • Experience with agile software development
  • Experience engaging with senior leadership, technical team members, and external stakeholders
  • Experience tying daily work to larger
  • Experience identifying the right skills for the right projects
  • Experience with working closely with Human Resource and Staffing to grow and develop a highly functional team
  • Experience coaching and mentoring peers and/or reports to continuous learning and improvement

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $150,450 - $203,550
