Based near San Jose, California, or either near New York / New Jersey, our client is a rapidly growing developer of cyber security software. Due to their expansion, a need for an experienced cloud architect has developed. Qualified candidates for this critical opening will have experience with architecture, design, deployment and migration of a complete cloud strategy and architecture from a blank piece of paper. The Role

The software application currently runs on the customer premises. New versions of the application are being developed and these cloud versions would allow managed service providers to support multiple customers, allow enterprise customers to manage software through a single pane of glass across many locations, and support customers running in cloud environments like AWS and Azure

You will work with the Product Management organization to develop a cloud strategy and then work with the rest of the Engineering team to develop and implement an architecture and new management plane to fulfil that strategy. Qualified candidates will have the breadth and depth of knowledge in cloud technologies and modern management planes to lead this effort.

Qualifications
  • Experience developing a strategy and cloud architecture for a complex IT product
  • Experience with designing and implementing state of the art management planes
  • Experience interacting with customers to understand their needs
  • A proven track record of delivering quality results in a timely fashion
  • A proven track record of technical leadership
  • Extensive knowledge of AWS and Azure
  • Strong communication skills
  • An advanced degree in a technical discipline
  • Knowledge of AI

The role is partially remote however, we do need applicants to be local to San Jose, California eg less than 1 hour commute.
