About Haus
Haus is a first of its kind decision science platform for the new digital privacy paradigm where data sharing and PII is restricted. Haus uses frontier causal inference based econometric models to run experiments and help brands understand how the actions they take in marketing, pricing and promotions impact the bottom line. Our team is comprised of former product managers, economists and engineers from Google, Netflix, Amazon and Meta who saw how costly it is to support high-quality decision science tooling and incrementality testing. Our mission is to make this technology available to all businesses, where all the heavy lifting of experiment design, data cleaning, and analysis/insights are taken care of for you. Haus is working with well known brands like FanDuel, Sonos, and Dr. Squatch, helping them achieve more than 30x ROI by running experiments to make more profitable decisions. We are backed by top VCs like Insight Partners, 01 Advisors, Baseline Ventures, and Haystack.

What you'll do
This is a unique opportunity to help us build, scale, and harden the infrastructure that powers everything at Haus — from machine learning pipelines to real-time collaboration and data products. You’ll work closely with our security, platform, and product teams to ensure our infrastructure is performant, resilient, and secure.

We’re looking for a pragmatic engineer who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys working across the stack (infra, tools, systems), and can lead with clarity as we grow. If you love shipping clean infrastructure, automating the boring stuff, and scaling platforms that developers actually enjoy using — this role is for you.

In addition to core infrastructure, you’ll help drive developer productivity by shaping the internal tools, environments, and workflows that accelerate shipping across the org. You’ll remove friction from day-to-day engineering, define golden paths, and help us scale a platform that feels fast, safe, and empowering to use.

Responsibilities

  • Design and operate robust, scalable infrastructure systems on GCP (bonus if you’ve done it on AWS too).
  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and related tooling.
  • Lead productivity engineering efforts by building paved roads for CI/CD, local dev environments, and developer tooling.
  • Collaborate across teams to define and evolve architecture patterns — from observability and security to build and release pipelines.
  • Harden the platform for availability, scale, and cost-efficiency.
  • Own the lifecycle of foundational components (e.g., Kubernetes, VPCs, IAM, service mesh, etc.).
  • Contribute to a strong DevOps culture that prioritizes reliability, velocity, and developer experience.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
  • Strong experience with modern cloud infrastructure (we use Google Cloud, but AWS experience translates well).
  • Proficient with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Helm, Bash/Python/Go).
  • Experience running and scaling Kubernetes clusters in production.
  • A passion for improving developer experience and streamlining build/test/deploy pipelines.
  • Comfortable with system-level debugging, performance tuning, and distributed system design principles.
  • You think in platforms — and know how to balance clean abstraction with fast delivery.
  • You’re a strong communicator who thrives in high-trust, low-ego environments.

Bonus Points

  • You’ve worked in earlier-stage startups or fast-moving product environments.
  • Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, etc.).
  • Familiarity with security-first infrastructure: SAST/DAST, IAM policies, VPC Service Controls, etc.
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary and startup equity
  • Top of the line health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401k plan
  • Provide you with the tools and resources you need to be productive (new laptop, equipment, you name it)
  • Small team with big impact on the overall output
