About the Job

As an Inside Sales Representative at Squint, you'll own the full sales cycle for a defined segment of our industrial customer base — from first outreach to closed-won. You'll work primarily by phone, email, and video to build pipeline, run discovery, deliver demos, and guide manufacturers through the buying process. This is a quota-carrying role for someone who wants to sell a category-defining Industrial AI product end to end, not just book meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle sales for your segment: prospect, qualify, demo, negotiate, and close

  • Generate your own pipeline through outbound calls, emails, and social outreach, alongside inbound and marketing-sourced leads

  • Run discovery calls to understand manufacturing pain points — downtime, quality, training, knowledge loss — and map them to Squint's platform

  • Deliver compelling remote product demos tailored to each prospect's operations

  • Manage a high volume of active opportunities and keep CRM data clean and current

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quota

Qualifications

  • A recent degree or early-career experience (0–2 years) — your major matters far less than your judgment and drive.

  • Track record of high achievement

  • Strong communication skills; comfortable running the entire cycle solo

  • Curiosity about how things are made — you can get manufacturers excited about AI on the factory floor

  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable in a fast-moving startup

  • AI-native and comfortable using modern technology to learn, solve problems, and work efficiently

  • Interest in manufacturing, operations, and the potential of AI to transform industrial work

Benefits

Based out of our office in San Francisco, we love the energy of in-person collaboration.

  • Competitive Salary and Equity

  • Comprehensive Medical, Vision, and Dental care

  • Flexible PTO Policy

  • Lunch and Dinner Service

  • Subsidized Uber to and from the office

  • Wellness Benefit

  • Maven Family Planning Benefits

  • Partnership with Care.com

  • Mental Health Services

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan

  • Pre-Tax Commuter Benefit for Parking & Public Transit

  • Company-wide Retreats

We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. Squint is an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds without regard to race, gender, age, or any other protected characteristic. We encourage you to apply even if you're not quite sure you fit all the requirements for the role!

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
