Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for generating sales and expanding market presence in an assigned territory through inbound and outbound sales calls and lead generation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities for both print and digital products through the use of phone, email, and desktop tools.
Identify and follow up on leads, establish new customer relationships and build on existing ones to ensure sales to new markets and repeat business.
Participate in development of Sales strategy, samplers, promotions and proposal writing.
Understand subscription sales and generate new subscription sales and renewals.
Close (and manage) sales opportunities from start to finish.
Support and attend conferences and exhibits as requested.
Work with Sales Reps on assigned special projects as requested.
Correspond with customers; gather and submit feedback from sales reps and/or customers on products, customer service, fulfillment and other issues.
Develop introduction letters and create prospecting packages
Job Requirements/Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. BA/BS degree preferred.
Proven track record of Inside Sales that includes experience with the K – 12 school market and subscription sales.
Must be customer service oriented.
Highly refined listening skills, excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook, and Customer Relationship Management software programs
Strong research capability and familiarity with all available internet and database tools.
Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
