Position Description

The Equity Sales Associate plays a important role in supporting institutional clients with their investment process.  This position requires general market knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients. The Equity Sales Associate works closely with the equity sales team, research analysts, traders, and other stakeholders to provide clients with valuable insights and investment recommendations.  Key responsibilities include marketing research analysts, facilitating corporate access, inviting clients to flagship investor forums, planning bespoke trips, and responding to client requests.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Develop client relationships, whether supporting colleagues or building their own relationships. Success developing new clients and increasing interactions with existing clients will be key.

  • Assisting and working with senior sales staff to increase existing revenues and market share

  • Sourcing, maintaining & analyzing customer & market-related data

  • Pulling disparate data sources & research into cohesive stories for customers & internal staff

  • Handling data entry and monitoring of spreadsheets

  • Assisting in responding to client requests 

  • Performing other tasks as requested; organize sales’ distribution lists, providing logistical support for staff and client meetings, project work as required, etc. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or other related Major

  • 1+ years of sales team support or related experience preferably in a financial institution or related field

  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • High attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a time sensitive demanding setting.

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize projects at any given time

  • Strong organizations skills.

  • Ability to respond in a timely manner to internal and external requests with a sense of urgency and accuracy.

  • Comfortable working with people at all organizational levels in a sometimes hectic and high pressure environment.

Salary Range

  • $75,000-$85,000 USD
