Instrumentation Engineer

6+ months contract
In this highly visible role, you will work in a fast paced environment with a talented team of experienced client Engineers developing Board/ System Level Instrumentation Test solutions. You will play a central role in the validation and development of test processes, HW/SW test and debug tools used in the design, manufacturing and on-going support of all new client Mac and Watch systems.
Key Qualifications
This role requires working with multiple cross functional teams – within client as well as vendors - good written, oral and communication skills is a must!
Previous fixture development expertise is strongly preferred.
Understanding of computer architecture, hardware, firmware, operating systems, and user applications, and the interactions between them
Familiarity with iOS hardware and software is preferred
Experience using and automating test using Lab equipment (Multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes etc)
Description
As an Instrumentation Test Engineer your contributions will include the following:
Position requires collaboration with Mac and Watch Product design engineers and other cross functional groups to conceive/design/debug innovative test solutions and advises product design with DFT design needs.
Additionally, engineer will communicate/train OEM partners for debug and implementation of test and process solutions.
Support new product failure analysis during manufacturing builds, and participate in continuous improvements in product manufacturability and testability, contributing to the production of the highest quality products available.
Design and implement automated testing and data gathering; lead or participate in data driven risk analysis to enable informed review of test plans and test cases.
Manage time between projects and supporting cross-functional engineering efforts.
Work with client Engineering Leads to drive pre-build preparation issues to closure with cross functional teams.

Independent, self-starter, with good interpersonal skills, and ability to lead.
Project and Product management experience strongly preferred
Education
BS in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Science
Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
