Position Overview:

VitalEdge is seeking an ambitious and technically driven Solution/Sales Specialist to support Integrated Rental (IR), our rental solution within the broader VitalEdge portfolio.

In this role, you will help shape the IR demo strategy, develop the technical narrative, and create a compelling customer experience for dealers, OEM partners, and prospective customers. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, existing Solutions Architects, and OEM and Customer Sales leadership to translate IR’s capabilities into clear business value.

A key focus of the role will be demonstrating how IR supports the full rental lifecycle, from quoting, reservations, contracts, and dispatch through returns, billing, and fleet utilization. You will become a subject matter expert on Integrated Rental, take ownership of the IR demo environment, and serve as a technical resource throughout the customer sales and discovery process.

The role includes an early ramp-up period of shadowing customer calls and product demonstrations before you transition into independent ownership of customer-facing demos and technical discussions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead product demonstrations of Integrated Rental for existing VitalEdge customers and prospects, tailoring each session to the customer’s rental fleet, business model, and use cases.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve the IR demo environment using representative fleet, rental transaction, reporting, and telematics data that reflects real-world customer scenarios.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to translate customer discovery questions, use cases, competitive positioning, and product capabilities into a consistent and compelling demo narrative.
  • Serve as a technical resource during customer and prospect conversations, addressing questions about the platform, data, integrations, and technical capabilities.
  • Support integration discovery by helping map how IR connects with VitalEdge solutions including e-Emphasys ERP and IntelliDealer, as well as with telematics and third-party data sources.
  • Develop hands-on expertise with the IR demo and training systems, and ensure environments stay current as product capabilities evolve.
  • Partner closely with OEM and Customer Sales leads during onboarding by shadowing demonstrations, discovery meetings, and ongoing customer conversations.
  • Represent VitalEdge at customer meetings, OEM engagements, exhibitions, conferences, and other industry events as needed.
  • Provide structured feedback from customer and prospect conversations to Product, Sales, and Marketing, identifying recurring objections, product gaps, integration opportunities, and successful use cases.
  • Help establish scalable best practices for demonstrating and positioning Integrated Rental as it becomes more tightly integrated with telematics and the broader VitalEdge portfolio.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Technical Pre-Sales, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience leading live software demonstrations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value for customers evaluating software solutions.
  • Experience with rental management, ERP, DMS, fleet management, asset management, or other enterprise software environments is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage directly with customers, prospects, dealers, and OEM partners.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, and technical teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a growing and evolving environment as IR become increasingly integrated within the VitalEdge portfolio.
  • Experience within equipment rental, construction, heavy equipment, off-highway, agriculture, mining, forestry, or the dealer/OEM ecosystem is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to travel periodically for customer visits, OEM engagements, conferences, and industry events.
