We are seeking a highly motivated Intern to join our Corporate Affairs group at Cytokinetics.
Job Description:
The Corporate Affairs internship is designed to give students a real look at how an organization communicates, builds relationships, and engages with key audiences inside and outside the company. Interns will work across corporate communications, investor relations, patient advocacy, and professional society relations, supporting ongoing projects while learning how these functions come together to shape reputation, trust, and impact. The experience is meant to be hands-on, collaborative, and developmental, with exposure to both strategy and execution.
Corporate Communications
- Support content creation for internal channels like newsletters or intranet posts
- Track media coverage and help organize communication resources
- Sit in on meetings to understand how messaging is developed
Investor Relations
- Assist with research and background materials for investor engagements
- Create summary reports for leadership and board
- Learn how financial and strategic information is communicated clearly and responsibly
Patient Advocacy
- Support planning and coordination of patient-focused activities or engagements
- Help prepare summaries or briefing materials that elevate patient perspectives internally
- Gain insight into how patient needs and experiences inform decision-making
Professional Society Relations
- Assist with coordination and communication related to professional and medical society engagements
- Help aggregate and demonstrated impact of CYTK supported professional society education, initiatives
- Track key dates, events, and engagement opportunities
- Learn how partnerships with professional societies support shared goals and collaboration
Requirements:
The position requires a motivated individual with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Additionally, we seek an individual with:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student or recent graduate with bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications or related field
- Experience and/or passion for communications, public relations, investor relations, patient advocacy or professional society relations
- Basic knowledge of healthcare industry and strong interest in biotech and/or nonprofit patient organizations
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- A good multi-tasker, detail oriented and resourceful
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay Range:
In the U.S., the hiring pay range for fully qualified candidates is $22.00 - $28.00 an hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.Our employees come from different backgrounds, and we celebrate those differences.
