Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Human Resources Intern in our Torrance, California location.
We are seeking highly motivated and energetic students for the 2026 summer intern program at Howmet Fastening Systems. The program consists of 10-12 weeks of structured hands-on training involving plant tours, seminars, networking events, and projects selected to add direct value to the business. At the conclusion of the program, interns will present their projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors. An internship at Howmet Fastenings Systems will provide an invaluable experience that you can utilize in any roles, and it’s Howmet Aerospace’s goal to evaluate our interns for potential entry-level openings.
This position will report directly to the Director of Human Resources/COE with regular coaching from Talent Acquisition, Site HR, and business leaders. The Howmet Aerospace Summer Internship Program will include engaging in impactful projects to assist the company and the student’s professional development.
- Standardization of job descriptions and basic qualifications.
- Greater consistency between sites and minimize administrative time spent when new requisitions are created.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to work full time, onsite for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2026
- Able to provide own transportation for positions at Torrance, CA
- Relocation assistance not provided.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or graduate degree program by the start of employment.
- Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.). Must be proficient working in a Microsoft systems environment.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Internship work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field required. Strong verbal and written communication skills

The salary for this position is $25 per hour.
