The Role:
We are seeking an experienced International Accounting Manager to help lead accounting and financial reporting across our international entities. This US-based role will oversee key aspects of our Rest of World (ROW) accounting operations, supporting more than 20 subsidiaries across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
You will own international close activities, statutory reporting and audits, third-party accounting provider relationships, and team development while ensuring alignment with local requirements, US GAAP, and global accounting policies.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across international entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany activity, foreign currency accounting, and other key accounting areas.
  • Lead statutory financial reporting and local audits, partnering with external auditors and local accounting providers.
  • Ensure compliance with local GAAP requirements while overseeing reconciliation and conversion to US GAAP.
  • Manage and hold third-party accounting providers accountable for quality, accuracy, and deadlines.
  • Lead, coach, and develop international accounting team members while serving as an escalation point for complex accounting matters.
  • Strengthen and standardize accounting processes, internal controls, close procedures, and reporting across international entities.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and greater scalability across the global accounting organization.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Corporate Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Payroll, Legal, HR, and other teams on international accounting matters.
  • Support international expansion, acquisitions, new entity formation, and other global finance initiatives as needed.
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant international accounting experience.
  • Active CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
  • Public accounting experience required; Big Four or large regional firm experience preferred.
  • Strong experience with international statutory reporting, local audits, and month/quarter/year-end close.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, local GAAP, intercompany accounting, and foreign currency accounting.
  • Experience managing accounting professionals and working with third-party accounting providers.
  • Ability to manage multiple entities, jurisdictions, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
Assets:
  • xperience within a global technology, software, SaaS, or high-growth organization.
  • Experience supporting a large international subsidiary structure across EMEA, APAC, and/or LATAM.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience with accounting automation, finance transformation, and outsourced accounting models.

Compensation Philosophy 

The compensation for this position is commensurate upon experience, and the range listed reflects total compensation or on target earnings. The top end of the range is reserved for candidates with extensive experience and a profile that strongly aligns with the senior expectations of this role. 

Location Eligibility

This is a remote position within the United States. We aim to hire in our primary hub locations first — Boston, MA; Denver, CO; and Charlotte, NC — but are also open to candidates who reside in the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.

Candidates must reside in one of these states to be considered for this opportunity.
