Job Description
This role supports company's strategic expansion into the startup ecosystem, focusing on
investments in startups related to steel, battery materials, and new business areas. The
candidate will identify investment opportunities, conduct investment analysis, and build
partnerships with startups, serving as a bridge between Korea HQ and the Silicon
Valley startup/VC community.
Key Responsibilities
Source and screen startup investment opportunities in core and emerging business
areas
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and due diligence on prospective
investments
Build a deal pipeline via industry events, demo days, and VC networking
Prepare investment memos and decks for internal review
Support negotiation, term sheet review, and closing processes
Track portfolio company performance and report to senior management
Coordinate with Korea-based investment/strategy teams on sourcing alignment
1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics or related field
2. 1–5 years of relevant work experience
3. Understanding of startup ecosystems and venture capital
4. Excellent written/verbal English communication
5. Business-level Korean documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Background in VC, CVC, investment banking, or consulting
Financial modeling and valuation experience
Exposure to materials science, battery/energy, or industrial tech
Familiarity with PitchBook, Crunchbase, or similar tools
