Position Summary:  

Cerity Partners Ventures (CPV) is hiring Investment Associates for our Built World and Technology teams. Founded as Touchdown Ventures in 2014, CPV pioneered Venture Capital-as-a-Service (VCaaS) for corporations, working with leading brands like Kellogg, T-Mobile, BEHR, and more. With a team of 50+ investment professionals in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco, CPV manages more than 20 corporate venture capital funds. 

As an Investment Associate, you will work on a dedicated fund team focused on AI, insurance technology, home services, construction technology, building products, and more as part of our larger Built World sector practice. Investment Associates source venture capital investment opportunities and help impact the innovation strategies at some of the world’s most successful corporations. The Associate role is an exciting and entrepreneurial opportunity to join a growing firm, providing potential for growth and advancement. We are building something special and are seeking candidates who share our vision and excitement. 

This position will be based with our team in New York or San Francisco. 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Identify potential start-up investments and source relationships with the company founders 

  • Meet with entrepreneurs and evaluate their business plans and pitches 

  • Track and report on deal flow generated by our team 

  • Research industry sectors, trends, and market dynamics 

  • Assist with due diligence 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience  

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Detail-oriented and self starter who enjoys working in a collegial workplace  

  • Critical thinking skills, including superior research and analytical ability 

  • Positive and flexible attitude  

  • Intellectual curiosity, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail 

  • Excellent writing, presentation and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to build relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and other stakeholders 

  • Enthusiasm for venture capital, start-ups and entrepreneurship 

  • Willingness to work in a start-up culture 

 

Compensation Range: 

$100,000-115,000
