We're hiring an Investment Counsel to help deploy our latest litigation finance fund. You’ll be joining a growing team of engineers, lawyers, and investment analysts to make real-time decisions in a fast-paced environment. If you're an experienced lawyer interested in building the future of law and finance, we’d love to talk with you. 


Core responsibilities:

  • Legal research and due diligence on investment opportunities
  • Preparation of investment memos
  • Real-time negotiation with plaintiffs and attorneys over investment terms and pricing
  • Training and working closely with the engineering team to translate legal knowledge into automation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, History, Law or related field desirable or equivalent experience from a top-tier institution. 
  • J.D. from an accredited top 20 law school
  • 10+ years post-law school experience, including in a litigation practice at AmLaw 200 firm and/or comparable boutique firms
  • Experience with plaintiff-side representation, alternative fee arrangements, litigation finance, and/or in an asset-management environment are pluses but not required
  • Experience in several of the following areas: commercial litigation, breach of contract, antitrust, multidistrict litigation, employment disputes, whistleblower claims, corporate governance litigation
