About the Role

This role is responsible for supporting the Investment Finance function, encompassing financial, investment, regulatory, and management reporting, as well as the delivery of insightful financial analytics. Also, this role is also responsible for regulatory reporting and the investment look-through process, including coordinating with external stakeholders to ensure a high level of data integrity, transparency, and reporting accuracy. Process transformation and the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency is a key responsibility of this position.
This role contributes to the delivery of customer outcomes that are reliable, thoughtful, and create meaningful impact for customers and society. The role holder is expected to embed a customer first mindset in all decisions and actions by developing a clear understanding of customer needs, taking end to end ownership to resolve issues, and working collaboratively across teams to continuously enhance the customer journey—both directly and indirectly.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1.     Investment reporting and Financial Analytics (60%)

• Support the Investment reporting function, including financial, investment, regulatory, and management reporting, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of deliverables.
• Review the quality of investment accounting activities performed by outsourced service providers, ensuring compliance with agreed service standards and controls.
• Coordinate the timely and accurate preparation, review, and consolidation of IFRS reporting submissions to Group Finance and relevant regulatory bodies.
• Handle regulatory reporting and review the investment look-through process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a high level of data integrity, transparency, and reporting accuracy.
• Deliver insightful financial analytics and management information to support the review of investment performance and overall business financial results.
• Support budgeting activities, including budget planning, forecasting, monitoring, and variance analysis.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and recommend workflow improvements to strengthen controls, improve efficiency, and enhance reporting quality.

2.     Finance Transformation and Strategic Projects (35%)

• Support on strategic finance initiatives and transformation programs, and new ways of working through the adoption of emerging technologies and automation solutions.
• Handle process transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen controls, improve data quality, and increase reporting effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Finance, Investment, IT, Human Resources, and other business units, to successfully deliver project objectives and business outcomes.
• Support system implementation, enhancement, and development initiatives, including requirements gathering, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-implementation review.

3.     Other responsibilities (5%)

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support business, operational, regulatory, and governance requirements.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects, regulatory initiatives, and process improvement activities as required.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• University graduate and a member of recognized professional accounting body plus 8-10 years relevant experience
• Sound insurance accounting knowledge and experience is preferred
• Knowledge in up-to-date accounting standards
• Experience in mass data analytics
• Proven ability to address complex challenges efficiently, applying both tactical solutions and strategic thinking to drive outcomes
• Big four audit firm experience is preferred
• Familiarity with financial systems and technologies, such as SAP, Power BI, AI and other emerging tools is preferred
• Proficient in Excel functions
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• The incumbent is required to obtain relevant license if the job involves in regulated activities.
