Sr Software Engineer, iOS –

  

Position Summary and Responsibilities

 

Education/Experience

 

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field (required) 
  • 5+ years experience in Software Development using Java, Objective-C, C or C++(required)
  • 2+ years of iOS Mobile Application Development experience. (required)

Skills


  • Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time. (required)
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. (required)
  • Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design optimized for mobile platform. (required).
  • Design and develop native mobile applications for iOS (Apps & SDK libraries).
  • Passion for user experience and knowledge of iOS Application Patterns as per the iOS Development Guidelines.
  • Experience with iOS development tools (Xcode, continuous integration tools and unit testing.
  • Knowledge iOS platform security practices.
  • Experience using RESTful APIs to integrate mobile applications to server side systems.
  • Solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing, source control (GIT, SVN etc) and peer code-reviews.
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new initiatives.
  • Proven ability to work and have fun in a team environment.
  • Desired experience on Mobile Banking applications.
  • Familiarity in integrating GCM notification system.
  • Familiarity in design and implementation of configuration oriented Apps.
  • Familiarity with Imaging API's, Remote deposit.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities


  • Develop next generation mobile payment applications, write solid code following best development practices.
  • Work as a part of scrum team executing the products requirements working with UX, product management and other teams in an agile manner.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for iOS platform.
  • Develop iOS framework and UI based on best practices.
  • Execute POCs for visionary initiatives.


Responsibility level


  • Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
