Company Overview

More than 200,000 developers and 1,300+ organizations build voice offerings that are ‘Powered by Deepgram’, including Twilio, Cloudflare, Sierra, Decagon, Vapi, Daily, Cresta, Granola, and Jack in the Box. Deepgram’s voice-native foundation models are accessed through cloud APIs or as self-hosted and on-premises software, with unmatched accuracy, low latency, and cost efficiency. There is no organization in the world that understands voice better than Deepgram.

Company Operating Rhythm

At Deepgram, we expect an AI-first mindset—AI use and comfort aren’t optional, they’re core to how we operate, innovate, and measure performance.

Every team member who works at Deepgram is expected to actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools, and even build your own into your everyday work. We measure how effectively AI is applied to deliver results, and consistent, creative use of the latest AI capabilities is key to success here. Candidates should be comfortable adopting new models and modes quickly, integrating AI into their workflows, and continuously pushing the boundaries of what these technologies can do.

Additionally, we move at the pace of AI. Change is rapid, and you can expect your day-to-day work to evolve just as quickly. This may not be the right role if you’re not excited to experiment, adapt, think on your feet, and learn constantly, or if you’re seeking something highly prescriptive with a traditional 9-to-5.

Opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive IT Manager to own and evolve our company’s IT ecosystem as we scale. You’ll design and implement systems that make it easy, and secure, for our teammates to onboard and work efficiently from anywhere. From managing devices and access to supporting SOC 2 compliance and workspace AV setup, you’ll be the go-to person for all things IT.

This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You’ll move us from ad hoc solutions to a scalable, secure, and well-documented IT environment that supports growth, efficiency, and accelerates every employee.

This person should be comfortable with occasional travel should we need IT support in any physical locations.

What You’ll Do
  • Streamline IT Systems: Evaluate and implement centralized identity and access management tools (e.g., Okta, Google Workspace, JumpCloud) to simplify logins and strengthen security.

  • Password & Access Management: Lead the rollout of a password manager and define policies for account access, permissions, and credentials.

  • Device Lifecycle Management: Oversee company hardware- ordering, setup, shipping, retrieval, and inventory tracking for new hires and departing employees.

  • IT Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues, troubleshooting, and user support to help teammates work without interruption.

  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Own the technical side of onboarding and offboarding, ensuring systems access is granted and removed smoothly and securely.

  • Office & Workspace IT: Support IT, WiFi, and AV setup for any physical offices or shared workspaces, maintaining reliable connectivity and hybrid collaboration tools.

  • Network Oversight: Maintain secure and stable network infrastructure, VPNs, and connectivity for both in-office and remote employees.

  • Security & Compliance: Partner with Security and Operations teams to support SOC 2 readiness, incident response, security audits, penetration testing, and service endpoint protection; promote security and IT best practices across the company.

  • Data Protection: Implement data backup, recovery, and retention processes aligned with business continuity and compliance needs.

  • Vendor & License Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, software renewals, and licensing compliance.

  • Budgeting & Planning: Track IT spend, forecast future needs, and recommend cost-efficient, scalable solutions.

  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain IT documentation, helpdesk, and training materials to empower teammates and reduce repetitive issues.

  • Scalability & Automation: Build systems and workflows that grow with the company, automating wherever possible to minimize manual work.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with People Ops, Security, and Engineering to ensure IT processes are integrated across the organization.

It’s Important To Us That You Have
  • 8+ years of experience in IT administration, systems management, or a similar role, ideally in a fast-growing or remote-first company.

  • Deep knowledge of SaaS tools, identity management systems, and MDM solutions (e.g., Kandji, Jamf, Intune).

  • Hands-on experience managing Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other core collaboration platforms.

  • Familiarity with SOC 2 and similar compliance frameworks.

  • Experience managing vendors, contracts, and IT budgets.

  • Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset—you love making tech simple and reliable for others.

  • Organized, proactive, and able to balance immediate support needs with long-term scalability.

It Would Be Great if You Had
  • Experience in a growth-stage startup

*For candidates outside of the US, we use an Employer of Record model in many countries, which means benefits are administered locally and governed by country-specific regulations. Because of this, benefits will differ by region — in some cases international employees receive benefits US employees do not, and vice versa. As we scale, we will continue to evaluate where we can create more alignment, but a 1:1 global benefits structure is not always legally or operationally possible.

Backed by prominent investors including Y Combinator, Madrona, Tiger Global, Wing VC and NVIDIA, Deepgram has raised over $215M in total funding. If you're looking to work on cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact in the AI industry, we'd love to hear from you!

Deepgram is an equal opportunity employer. We want all voices and perspectives represented in our workforce. We are a curious bunch focused on collaboration and doing the right thing. We put our customers first, grow together and move quickly. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status, pregnancy, parental status, genetic information, political affiliation, or any other status protected by the laws or regulations in the locations where we operate.
