The IT Support Specialist will provide in‑person and remote enterprise IT support for end users and transportation systems, including device provisioning, helpdesk services, asset and MDM management, A/V and VoIP support, documentation, training, and on‑call emergency assistance in a Windows and Microsoft 365 environment.Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our IT team. This position will be full-time, hybrid, and is a contract position.
What You’ll Do
Provide in‑person, phone, and remote helpdesk support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Support an enterprise environment serving 200+ users
Provision, install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end‑user equipment including desktops, laptops, smartphones, tablets, VoIP phones, and POTS phones
Administer and support enterprise mobile device management (MDM) for iOS and Android devices
Manage IT asset inventory, including procurement coordination, assignment, tracking, retirement, and disposal
Install, configure, and troubleshoot local and network printers
Support audio and video conferencing systems, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Crestron, Shure, and Tesira equipment
Perform user and device management in Microsoft Active Directory (on‑premises and Azure AD)
Support Windows 11 endpoints and Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive)
Provide operational support for enterprise platforms, including Trapeze AssetWorks Management, Masabi JustRide Ticketing Platform, SiteHelp Desk, KnowBe4 Phish Alert, Proofpoint, and ManageEngine ADManager Plus and Endpoint Central
Support and troubleshoot VoIP systems including Jive, RingCentral, and Verizon
Create, update, and maintain User Guides and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Deliver end‑user training and develop pre‑recorded training videos
Maintain and support locomotive passenger Wi‑Fi, passenger information systems, and automatic passenger counting systems
Be available during weekends and holidays for emergencies and special projects
Perform job duties requiring lifting of equipment up to 40 pounds
Travel locally as required to support Authority facilities and systems
What You’ll Need
Minimum five (5) years of enterprise IT support experience
Demonstrated experience supporting environments with 200 or more users.
Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Active Directory (on‑prem and Azure)
Experience with mobile device management platforms and enterprise endpoint management tools
Hands‑on experience supporting VoIP systems, printers, and audio/video conferencing equipment
Familiarity with enterprise asset management processes and IT service desk operations
Experience authoring technical documentation and training materials
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical users
Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
Valid Class C Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record (no more than three moving violations and no DUIs within the last three years).
Availability to work standard business hours (8 hours per day, Monday–Friday) with on‑call availability for emergencies and special projects
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
This role involves a combination of sedentary and active work.
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Ability to lift, carry, and transport IT equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and crouch as needed for equipment installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel locally between work sites as required.

$42 - $47 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
