Job Description

Job Title: IT - Testing Analyst

Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration: 12+ Months

Responsibilities:

• Application Package Testing and Quality Assurance: Analyze, review and assess packaging requirements, specifications and application packages for testability.

• Actively participate in technical review meetings to understand business requirements, strategy and delivery methodology.

• Determine test effort/cost for test planning, and execution.

• Develop test plans, test models and test scripts, including conditions and expected results.

• Participate in test plan peer reviews.

• Prepare or create test data needed for test execution.

• Implement tests on all appropriate levels (e.g. system integration, end to end and package acceptance tests), execute tests and document the results.

• Evaluate the results and document the deviations from expected results.

• If applicable, measure the performance of the packages.

• Track test incident/defects and resolutions.

• Automate tests when applicable.

• At times provide consulting expertise for applications and software being tested by others.

• Regularly keep Release Manager and Application Delivery Supervisor informed of the status of testing, particularly items that could impact the delivery of the product. 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Proficient with understanding MSI (Microsoft Installer) technology.

• Proficient with capturing virtual snapshots

• Strong depth of Windows 7-64bit operating system knowledge and troubleshooting applications and unit-test packages.

• Ability to independently research problems and solutions using Peer s online resources.

• Quality customer interaction skills Strong communication skills 

Additional Information

We are not looking for just a resume; this person must be able to show their experience and proficiency in this area to be successful. 


Candidate must possess strong software development skills to create conceptual and reference content including working code samples would be preferred 


They should be able to provide samples of API reference documentation that include XSDs, XML and/or JSON response samples 




If you have participated actively in API development cycles, providing feedback on the APIs themselves, and can show samples of developer tutorials and, ideally, dynamic websites, we want to meet you.
