Description:

The Job Cost Accountant will act as a partner across all management levels to analyze all facets of business and offer suggestions to increase profitability, offer areas of improvement for data integrity and processes. This will be completed by compiling multiple datasets within excel, creating re-usable excel templates and/or using native reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run Job Profit Tool and respective reports to identify the reason(s) of low performing jobs and suggest opportunities to increase job profitability
  • Develop process documentation for various business units
  • Run large data sets in excel to identify trends of high performing and low performing jobs
  • Format data in Excel pivot tables and charts and PowerPoint
  • Read lengthy contracts and summarize key highlights to management
  • Present findings to stakeholders verbally and through written mediums
  • Update weekly management reports
  • Run ad hoc reports as required

REQUIREMENTS:

Must Haves:

  • Analytical and curious mindset
  • Comfortable with large data sets
  • Comfortable with Excel, Pivot tables, Pivot charts
  • Basic Data analysis skillset
  • Ability to identify and communicate trends and findings to management
  • Strong proficiency in word, PowerPoint, excel and Visio
  • Detail oriented work focus
  • Organized

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in Contractor/Service oriented Job Costing
  • Experience using AI tools 
  • Experience in Contractor/Service oriented Billing
  • Knowledge of industrial cleaning billing highly preferred
  • Comfortable in Salesforce and/or Field FX
