We are looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join our team in our SF Bay headquarters. You will assist in ensuring that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards and are functioning optimally. System configuration, networking, troubleshooting, and application deployment/maintenance fundamentals are expected and will be built upon. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as you will be working closely to support many employees. This role represents a junior technical position supporting IT, Operations, and Development organizations. The individual hired for this role will also be involved with design, implementation and maintenance of all aspects of our IT management. Compensation is $75,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience and skill set.

In this role, you will:

  • Setup & maintain computer systems, network infrastructure, and peripheral devices.
  • Support monitoring and configuration of cloud infrastructure.
  • Maintain security applications, covering physical and cyber appliances.
  • Track mobile systems, development tools, etc via inventory management.
  • Perform routine checks for security updates / incidents across a variety of systems.
  • Provide direct support to other employees for provisioning, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Documentation and training of setup and best practices.
  • Grow your skillset across a large variety of hardware and software.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency using multiple operating systems: Windows, Ubuntu, MacOS‪.
  • Hands on experience with virtualization, storage, networking and web technologies‪.
  • Willingness to assist and train peers on technical matters.‬‪
  • Must be detail oriented, possess good communications skills and habits, and like to work in a highly transparent environment.‬

Beneficial Experience and Credentials:

  • Systems Administration/System Engineer certification or equivalent experience in Unix.‪
  • 1-3 years experience with cloud hosted web application infrastructure or a certification for AWS/GCP Developer, DevOps, or Cloud Practitioner.
  • GitHub, GitLab or other source control systems‬
  • Configuration automation technologies: SaltStack, Ansible or Python.
  • Monitoring and log aggregation technologies: Grafana, Prometheus, Loki or ELKCI with Docker, Jenkins, Artifactory.
  • ‬DevOps development processes/methodologies; including CI/CD.‬
  • Building and supporting robotics product infrastructure‬.
  • Keeping up to date on relevant technology and industry trends.
