Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about building and maintaining automated testing frameworks to support the delivery of reliable, high-quality software. You will work closely with software engineers, QA specialists, and platform teams to integrate testing processes, validate model performance, and ensure robust test coverage throughout the software development lifecycle. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the testing of large image-to-text machine learning models in a fast-paced, AI-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automated Testing Framework Development: Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and systems to ensure software quality.
  • Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to integrate testing methodologies into the software development process.
  • Bug Tracking and Resolution: Identify, record, and document bugs.
  • Test Plan and Case Development: Develop and execute comprehensive suites of automation test plans and test cases to validate software functionality.
  • Code Review Participation: Participate in code reviews to ensure that automated tests adhere to coding standards and best practices.
  • QA Collaboration: Collaborate with the QA team to understand how manual test cases can be automated, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Automation Strategy Implementation: Leverage state-of-the-art automation strategies and techniques for LLM output validation to enhance testing accuracy.
  • Test Result Analysis: Monitor and analyze test results, providing detailed reports to development teams and management for informed decision-making.
  • Staying Current: Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies to continuously enhance testing processes.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient programming skills in Python. Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, Postman, and Rest-assured.
  • CI/CD Knowledge: Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools, such as Github Actions or similar.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • QA Methodologies: Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and quality.
  • Performance and Security Testing: Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus, enhancing the robustness of testing practices.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in testing and documentation processes.
