We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced OEM Key Account Manager, ideally based in the South Central or Midwest United States.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding both existing and new Sensata Industrial key accounts, with a primary focus on developing and winning new business for mission-critical, sensor-rich solutions. These solutions enable our customers to safely deliver a cleaner, more efficient, electrified, and connected world.
You will work closely with leading OEMs and globally recognized brands across HVAC, appliance, data center, and diversified industrial markets, identifying growth opportunities aligned with their business strategies, applications, and technical requirements. Success in this role requires translating customer needs into actionable opportunities for Sensata and its partners while building strong, trusted relationships at all organizational levels.

General Responsibilities
•Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory/product line.
• Pursue sales leads
• Lead in visits to existing and new customers
• Analyze customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
• Respond to customer enquiries; and conclude sales orders to meet established revenue targets
• Innovates and creates sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers
• Perform supplier audits on site at distributor warehouse locations
• Identify and implement efficiency opportunities such as distributor dashboards, etc.
• Initiate regular communication with distributors to mitigate shipment errors and discrepancies

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

  • Key participant in new account development and/or expanding existing key accounts within an established geographic territory/product line.
  • Builds relationships at various levels in customers organization
  • Analyze customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
  • Respond to customer enquiries; and conclude sales orders to meet established revenue targets
  • Collaborates on sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers
  • Minimum 3 years experience in technical sales, preferred
  • Must have a background in HVAC / R

Base Salary Range:

$97,040.00 - $133,430.00
