About This Opportunity:

Join Lloyds Banking Group’s Business and Commercial Banking division (BCB) as we redefine how businesses access Lending and Working Capital solutions across the UK. Our platform spans Lending, Asset Finance, Overdrafts, and Invoice Finance, helping businesses of all sizes optimise working capital, manage risk, and fund growth. Our products sit at the heart of BCB, driving innovation and supporting our purpose of Helping Britain Prosper.

As Commercial Director for Lending & Working Capital (L&WC), you’ll lead financial performance and strategy, reporting directly to the Managing Director. You’ll head a team of 10, aligning scorecards, board-level metrics, and Group priorities while driving planning, forecasting, and collaboration across Coverage, Finance, and Group Corporate Treasury. Acting as a key link between Product teams and partners, you’ll nurture growth, operational excellence, and data-driven insight to deliver better outcomes for customers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build enhanced forecasting and value analysis by client, segment and sector, using insights to sharpen decisions
  • Supervise performance trends and lead interventions that unlock sustainable growth and improve customer outcomes
  • Improve analytics and supporting data sets that underpin pricing and forecasting, including greater adoption of AI and tried machine learning from our platforms
  • Assess the impact of tactical and central initiatives, track benefits against budget and ensure assumptions remain sound
  • Be responsible for the relationship with Group Corporate Treasury, deputise for the MD at ALCOs, and lead discussions at Asset and Liability Pricing Committee and BCB Growth Forum to ensure pricing and liquidity processes are accurate and aligned

Why Lloyds Banking Group:

What you’ll need:

  • A strong background of senior leadership, with experience hitting commercial targets, leading teams and delivering or commercialising investment projects
  • Deep knowledge of L&WC products, with a curiosity to broaden expertise across the product set
  • Strong risk management and governance capability, able to identify, assess and mitigate risks with effective oversight and controls
  • Advanced financial and non-financial analysis skills, with the ability to turn insight into clear actions and measures
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability, with experience improving operating models to develop competitive advantage
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills, with credibility up to Group Executive Committee level and a collaborative style that builds positive relationships

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual performance-related bonus
