Position Summary

Paramount Field Services has built its reputation on taking complex projects and turning them around fast, without ever sacrificing the level of communication our clients expect. We are seeking an experienced Landman Project Manager to lead high stakes land and title engagements from kickoff to close. This role requires someone with a vast working knowledge of all major U.S. basins and extensive, hands on experience with leasehold title, someone who can step into a complicated project, quickly assess what it actually needs, and mobilize a team to deliver accurate results on an aggressive timeline.

The ideal candidate has run land projects before, knows how to keep a client informed every step of the way, and takes real pride in being the person who can be handed the hard project and still hit the deadline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage land and title projects from scoping through completion across multiple basins and jurisdictions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing consistent, clear, and proactive communication throughout the life of each project.
  • Build and manage project timelines, staffing plans, and budgets, adjusting quickly as project scope or client needs evolve.
  • Recruit, assign, and oversee teams of landmen and abstractors, ensuring work is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Review and quality control title work product, including runsheets, curative documents, and ownership reports, to ensure it meets Paramount and client standards.
  • Interpret and resolve complex leasehold title issues, including chain of title gaps, HBP determinations, and multi party ownership questions.
  • Coordinate with landmen, attorneys, and clients to move curative items to resolution quickly.
  • Track project progress and provide regular status updates and deliverables to clients in a professional and organized format.
  • Identify risk and title issues early and communicate practical solutions before they become project delays.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of basin specific regulations, recording practices, and county level nuances across project areas.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a landman, with demonstrated project management or team lead experience.
  • Vast knowledge of all major oil and gas basins, including regional differences in title, recording, and regulatory practices.
  • Extensive experience with leasehold title, including title examination, curative work, and chain of title analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and teams while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a track record of keeping clients informed and confident throughout a project.
  • Strong understanding of oil, gas, and mineral law as it applies to leasehold and title matters.
  • Experience managing or mentoring contract landmen and reviewing their work product for accuracy.
  • Proficiency with title research tools, mapping software, and standard land management platforms.
  • Ability to travel to project locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • RPL, RL, or CPL certification through AAPL.
  • Prior experience managing large scale diligence or acquisition projects.
  • Experience working directly with operators, private equity clients, or acquisition teams.
  • Background in federal, state, and fee leasehold across varied basins.
What Sets Paramount Apart

Paramount Field Services takes on the projects other firms turn down. We are known across the industry for our ability to move fast on complicated title work without losing accuracy, and for keeping our clients in the loop every step of the way. This role is for someone who wants to lead that kind of work, who is energized by a hard project rather than intimidated by it, and who takes pride in delivering results clients can trust.

Compensation & Engagement
  • Competitive contract rate commensurate with experience.
  • Full time 1099 contract engagement with consistent project flow.
  • Mileage and travel reimbursement per company policy.
  • Opportunity to lead high profile projects across multiple basins with a team that values speed, accuracy, and communication.

Paramount Field Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. This job description does not constitute an employment contract and may be revised at management's discretion.
